Great location, remote and quiet and we did see the Northern Lights on our last night. Henry is an absolute gem, ready to help at anytime and even drove us to the bus stop to get faster to Tromso. Would recommend it to anyone, breathtaking views of fjord and mountains. We didn't rent a car as there are buses, but if you want to get around or chase the Northern Lights, maybe it's a good idea to do so :)

Three of us stayed at cabin 'Hytte 4' for 3 nights in January. We hope to see the northern lights.. so having read a few reviews where professional photographers would choose to go to Ersfjordbotn to see the northern lights, we thought it would be a good idea to stay there (instead of staying in Tromso and then make our own travel to Ersfjordbotn). We are so glad that we made the right choice!

The house is huge - could accomodate 6 people, so it was really spacious for us. It was very clean, with everything you need for the few days' stay provided. The windows and balcony are bonus- looking out of the fjord and mountains, we can't ask for better views! It was an ideal holiday to enjoy the beauty and peacefulness of Norway!

From making the initial enquiry about the house through to check-out, everything was perfect. Viktoria helped so much with our booking and providing information, and Henry made us so welcome the second we got there. Henry knew that we wanted to see the northern lights and made us aware of them whenever he spotted the lights. He also gave us lifts to wherever we needed to go for good prices.

It was such a wonderful trip. The stay at the Ersfjordbotn Kystferie definitely made it perfect. We would definitely love to go back again. Highly recommended!

I really don't want to do this, because I'll probably never get a booking again, but Henry, the owner of these cabins was such a lovely chap that I really want to.

Ersfjordbotn is a magnificent fjord, and it's a priviledge to stay in a cabin, wake up, look out of the window and see the beautiful water and mountains.

The Northern Lights are viewable from the fjord (best a little further around), but I would highly recommend taking a trip with Guide Gunnar who can take you to find the lights. You'd be gutted if you didn't see them.

The cabin we stayed in had a log burning fire, great heating and everything you'd need for a weekend away. It was incredibly romantic. It may not be super glamourous or top end, but it was perfect for us. Even with no snow, this was one of my favourite places I've ever been in Europe and I hope to go back one day to experience the snow, or the 24 hour sunlight, or more northern lights... so much to do! You're approximately 15km away from Tromso but Henry can give you lifts in and out for a good price.

One note of caution (and this is about the country rather than the property): Norweigan prices are currently double what you would expect to pay in the UK i.e. £2.50 for small bottle of water, £10 for a pint, £17 for a burger.
