-Island itself is extremely beautiful, quality of beach, reef and sea world is on the highest level - white sand, turquoise sea and fishes of all possible colors (without exaggerating), you can swim with small sharks, turtles and small rays around.
-Most of the hotel staff is great, so polite, always smiley - especially young waiters and chefs, but reception staff could be more helpful and interested.
-Rooms are nothing special with design, but very spacious and bed is super large and comfortable. Bathroom also large and has separate shower that is half inside/half outside that is fantastic - we never used the classic bath tub with shower, even if was also nice; we also had 2 washbasins that is great and also rare to see in 4-star hotels! But the most valuable is that all the (Deluxe) rooms/houses are just on the beach, but you have like a small garden with coconut trees between your room and the beach, approx 20 meters until the beach. All (Deluxe) rooms are very private and even if you are attached to another you have your own small space in front of the room/house and your own space on the beach, that often feels like you are alone on the island.
-Breakfast is a bit 'poor' and could be definitely improved. Dinner options are more various but still limited - but always delicious. Drinks are completely excluded (except the low quality coffee and juices for breakfast).
-Prices of drinks are quite high: bottle of water usd 5, draft beer usd 8, cocktails 12-15 usd (all the cocktails we tried were made of very low quality drinks and I would not recommend - but only beer and bottled wine) - but if you consider the standard of prices in Maldivian island this is also expected.
-Don't book full board as lunch of 45 usd is not worth the cost.
-Private transfer by speedboat from Male to the island is ok, takes about 1 hour but is not private as you usually share with other arrival/departure travelers, so be prepared to wait if needed. Staff always polite.
-If you want to do extra activities or excursions on the island you will have to pay quite lot, since are very expensive (example diving excursion usd 300 per pax).
-Night activities in the resort are a bit poor, and guests are usually not interested to participate so it could be very sad.
-There were some families but island is mostly couple oriented.
-WiFi is acceptable if you consider where you are, it worked well most of the time.
Overall: it's a perfect spot for enjoying in swimming, snorkeling, sunbathing, relaxing and isolating from the world, but if you need the action and social environment it's not place for you. But for the beauty of the sea and beach is absolutely recommended.

Room tip: Rooms 230-236 very good positioned with a lot of privacy

Having spent the previous week diving, this little bit of paradise is just what we needed to rest. Located in the north and approx 26 miles from Male. We were collected from Male harbour and it took approx 50 minutes to arrive. The welcome on arrival was very pleasant and having stepped off of the boat our luggage was taken our Deluxe apartment right on the beach front. The apartment was very roomy and fully air conditioned and very modern.

There is plenty to do on such a small island if you like water sport. Diving, snorkelling, jet skiing, tennis, boules, there is also a children's play room, small tourist shop.

Meal times are a buffet and the food is beautifully fresh and plentiful. Catering for all tastes.

All in all a lovely restful place.

Having been fortunate enough to visit the Maldives numerous times I feel we found our gem that we were searching for. The fact that we are returning for our third visit within 12 months speaks for itself!!!!!!! After visiting so called higher star rated islands such as Komandoo, Lily Beach, Constance Moofushi and Vilamendoo and others we kept searching for something we felt missing. Eriyado ticked all box’s with its fantastic reef, lovely food, true genuine caring staff and such a relaxed no pressure atmosphere...Yes some of the rooms are tired but if you are there for the real Maldives you only sleep in the room!!!! And over time refurbishment is taking place. Every person who is working on the island including the dive centre has one aim and that is to make your holiday the best you have had.....This place is outstanding in so many ways and I appreciate everyone wants different things but it ticks all of my box’s and I can’t think of one bad thing to say really. X

A pleasure to return to this amazing tiny island which has without doubt the best house reef of any island we’ve visited! Marine life is so varied and plentiful and each day we again saw something different, from turtles, resident 7ft reef sharks, huge mobular ray, spotted eagle rays, an abundance of fish and a manta had visited the week prior to our visit.
For us it is the most welcoming, wonderful team in every department on the island that brings us back ... led by such a fantastic GM it is truly outstanding! Every aspect of the island is superb from cleanliness, food and service and we can’t wait to see you all again in February 2020!
If you are looking for a tiny, quiet, well priced island that ticks every box for a dream holiday of a lifetime then Eriyadu Island Resort will not disappoint. A special thank you to Amitha for once again making our visit so wonderful.
Just to add, we noticed comments about mosquito issues on previous feedback but we found it to be dealt with very well and no different at this time of year to any other island we’ve been to.

Stayed for 5 nights, It is a small beautiful resort that provides a real experience and not just photo op.
The biggest positive point is - the house reef! It is very much active and we got to see a lot of variety of sea life - Turtle, Eel, lemon shark, stingray, and many colorful fishes near the beach bar. My son used to put a snorkel mask on every day and swim around looking at the fish. Even people who can't swim can walk in the water to see the amazing marine life. You don't need to go anywhere else.
We did not face any mosquito problem as well, though it is better to be equipped for that as the island has lot of trees and it gets wet during the rains.
The resort is around 45 min by speedboat ride, we were quickly escorted to boat upon arrival without any waiting time. The transfer charges are $165 per person - it seems high but most resorts charge more than this so reasonable. The transfer and check-in experience was fast and good. The return transfer is at limited times a day, but well managed.
We stayed in the Delux beach villa - it is right on the beautiful beach. The rooms are big enough for a family of 4 and well maintained and clean. I especially liked the open shower area. I didn't see any refurbishing work ongoing as mentioned by some reviewers and our room seems to be refurbished already. They did provide basic toiletries - the only thing missing was a moisturizer. Do carry a good sunscreen cream. There is a store near the front desk for buying any essentials, but it was expensive.
The rooms are cleaned twice a day and the staff is courteous and welcoming. We felt well looked after. Special thanks to Noble who always came to check if everything is good and if we need anything. The other guy at the blitz bar, the front desk manager, chefs all were very friendly and chatted with us every time we went there. We tipped few guys like the one who came to clean the room, the luggage guys, for Blitz bar I assume 10% service charge was included already in the bill. I didn't feel that the staff was serving based on tips (at least not openly).
The food rates are reasonable from Maldives' resort standards. It is highly recommended that you go for a full onboard package, or all-inclusive if you like to drink. Also, you can carry your own snorkeling equipment, life jacket, else you will spend equally renting it there ( it is included in the all-inclusive package).

Areas of improvement ( for which I deducted one star)
1. complimentary water provided is just 2 ltr per day, which was very less for us, we ended up buying a lot of additional water at $5 per bottle while the same bottle you can get for 50 cents in Male.
2. kids center is not well looked after. There are no good toys, books, coloring kits - nothing much to keep kids engaged. It needs some attention and betterment. The gym is also very small.
3. Food variety is very limited for breakfast as well as meals.

Room tip: Beach villa near the beach bar are good.
