I checked out yesterday and had a good time and everything looks exactly like the pictures except for the service which is really important for the amount paid.
The island was huge and had a variety of options like activities, food and etc...
I will list all the points I went through that made it horrible to me.
1. Housekeeping: they missed the turn down service although I called and fixed a timing.
2.Housekeeping: I paid 800 dollars for late checkout and spent the day y the each and was really surprised that the villa was ignored and was messy from the day before.
3. They had an Italian night so we ordered pasta which is the easiest to cook and it was the WORST PASTA EVER. I have never eaten a pasta that tasted like that although the presentation you the buffet was incredible.
4.Beach club: a waiter called Ali was really rude and made me feel like I was punished and didn't propose alternative options just because I was 8 minutes late without notice. I always ordered expensive wine and felt I had to stay and finish my bottle starving, I asked for them to call the management which never happened and from that request the whole resorts menu was proposed!
5. We looked 2 villas, the water villas door wasn't working so we asked them to fix the problem and waited for minimum half an hour in the heat. the GM was aware of the situation when we bumped into him at therein pool and nothing happened. an employee called Hussain sent someone to fix and the employee told him verbally it doesn't work and he insisted to convince us that there is nothing wrong and it works while we were waiting outside. They sent the team at 9-10 PM while we were asleep and asked therm nicely to leave.
6.After all those complaints nothing was done, they didn't care except for a nice gentleman at the reception called Karam apologized and understood what we went through.
overall, our experience was horrible and we need a vacation from this vacation.
Its a beautiful resort but needs better and stronger management I think.
PS: If you ask any staff to call the management they will NOT and they don't care.
Not one&only standard at all.
I highly recommend the FOUR SEASONS Landaa Giraavaru, you will bbe shocked with the level of service. always extra miles not just mile!
service is everything in such trips, I don't care how beautiful the resort is!
