What a marvelous place. They cater to your every need. If you're looking for a vacation away from everything this is the place. No cars, no traffic. Transportation is by bicycle or golf cart. There are only villas on the island and the entire island is the resort. All beaches are deserted most of the day and guests feel like it's their own private island. The water is beautiful and the weather in February is incredible.

Room Tip: All villas on either on the water or waterfront. None have kitchen facilities but In Villa Dining i...

If you want to pamper yourself and your dear ones, this place is well worth the money. The villas are luxurious, the island is small enough not to be crowded and large enough to ride a bike (complimentary for each villa). The spa is world class, so are the three restaurants.

Room Tip: Ask for a water villa, it's amazing to watch the fish fro your porch. If you like sunsets, ask f...

The experiance beings the moment you exit from airport customs as we were welcomed and ushered to our yatch. We entered the resort overwhelmed by the management's warm welcome and our eagerness to look into what the resort hides from breathtaking views and possible activities.

Since we arrived early, the management were nice enough to have prearranged a temporary beach villa as our room was being prepared. A gesture, amongst many, that we surely won't forget. I appreciated that each beach villa is surrounded by a barrier of palm trees and lush plants giving us the privacy that we needed without compromising the beach view.

The staff and service were equally impressive. All our requests were mainly handled by our assigned villa manager, although I would advice prescheduling your activities before arriving to the resort. We did that along with prescheduling the services of a Nanny to look after the kids during our spa session and private dinners.

It was nice to see that the resort had a daily agenda published. I found the movie night rather cool, with bean bags and soft lighted tables on the beach while watching James Bond on the screen with popcorn and drinks being served! On another night we enjoyed live singing.

Overall I would say this is an amazing resort for both couples and families with children. We look forward to visit the resort again hopefully in the near future.

Tips:

Best spa time is between 3:30pm and 5:30pm as it gives you enough time to enjoy the sunset later
You can have the kids go to the kids club while your at the spa
If traveling with kids make sure you take them to the cup cake decoration session!
for people with sensitive skin: If your having water/sports activities scheduled after 5pm to avoid the head and direct sunlight
Would be cool if you can rent your own golf cart to move around the resort
Do try going around the Island with your bike. But it may be difficult for young kids to catch up.

Room Tip: We stayed at the sunrise side of the island away from the main restaurants. Surely there are advanta...

Breathtaking views, ambiance is very relaxing from the arrival on the resort to the checking in inside our room. The setup i.e. bed, lighting and music was well thought of. It is a bungalow type villas. We tried the pool villa first and the overwater bungalow villa next. Both were equally amazing but I especially liked the latter. It has a net suspended over water on the sides of the villa and has a magnificent view of the ocean where you can relax and never want to leave the area. It also has a magnificent view of the ocean. Scuba diving services are reasonably priced. They also have the best spa facility we had ever experienced. Oh by the way, they have a butler assigned for you 24/7. Would recommend to stay there for at least a week and do resort hopping so you can enjoy Maldives other fab resorts. Would love to go back every year. A little bit expensive but the experience...to die for.

Room Tip: Overwater bungalow villa especially located at the tip of the resort

We had the most fantastic time here in 2009...only just writing the review. The food and service are second to none. The villas are superb. the island.........beautiful, manicured gardens, the whole place was a little too manmade for my taste, the island itself is built on reclaimed land from under the sea and is a little false...in fact you can feel the island sort of shake on its conctete foundations under the sand...a little like when you are at home and say a big lorry drives past etc...nothing to worry about but a little weird. It truly is 5 star...in every way, the attention to detail and wondeful staff. I would go back there. Fabulous!

This is indeed a beautiful place, the pool villa made it for us and the staff are all great. We were initially disappointed as we had requested 2 double beds but got 1 king and a put you up. Also they tried to charge us for boat transfers when we had been told it was included when we booked. It was only because my husband had the email we were eventually allowed to leave but felt terrible having held up the boat for 45 minutes. Make sure you have written confirmation of everything. I was also asked for a library book I had borrowed that day which I read and put back but they had not bothered to check although the cabinet is locked and you have to sign everything in and out.

Also turned up for a boat trip which had gone in the morning, the room diary was incorrect even though we had rung up the dive centre to book the trip. Mark, the Manager quickly sorted out any issues so do let him know if you have any problems.

Lots and lots of very small children and babies which can spoil the lovely atmosphere at times especially when they start screaming although it was half term they were not of school age.

The spa was excellent, food overall good. The bikes are great although one did cut my daughters leg badly so beware.

I was surprised by the boat which picked us up as it was just ok but we got the posher boat on our return trip.

Please dont be put off by my negative comments, I did not want to just repeat previous posts of how lovely it is but wanted to give an accurate account of our experience. We would certainly go back and overall enjoyed our week.

Room Tip: We were on the sunset side where the water seemed calmer.
