Great location, amazing villas, special staff that takes care of every little detail. Tried the beach villa and the lagoon villa as well, both are great. We preferred the lagoon villa for it’s unique views and the hammock (my fav part of the villa)

Room tip: Expect some sudden weather changes in May (beginning of monsoon). But we liked this part which added lots of life and different scenery

Booked the Extreme WOW Presidential suite for 6 nights. We have been travelling to various luxury resorts in Maldives since 2014 . This was our 3 rd trip to the Maldives alone in the last 8 months .Can’t help but compare the service level with Waldorf Astoria ,Maldives which was our best holiday thus far.

I’m gonna put down a list of Pros and cons for a better idea.

Pros :
1. House keeping was top notch and attended to every detail in our suite .
2. A big shout out to Vasantha (Sous chef) at the ‘Kitchen’ restaurant who went out of the way to make us comfortable every single day & whipped up some delicious stir fried pork & beef ! Ishara at wet bar for his absolutely delicious espresso martini ! Raj and Mark from the fitness center for being awesome & very accommodating.
3. Breathtaking views from the extreme wow ocean suite.
4. Amazing Privacy as our suite was tucked away in a corner of the resort .
Cons :
1. No Man Friday / Mr Friday at this resort even for a Presidential suite ( Extreme wow ocean haven ) which is extremely surprising !
2. No cycles in this resort . This is the first time we’ve encountered this, since absolutely all resorts we’ve been to have cycles which made our stay all the more exciting as I am an outdoorsy person. I failed to check this prior to our visit as this was a rushed booking & this was the only resort which had a 2 room suite available.
3. Overcharged on couple of occasions. One time was at this Fire restaurant where the main course ( 3 portions of rib eye ) was served as an appetizer for 1/4 the price & on another occasion the same dish was served as a main course for $200 each steak ! Never order off the menu dishes as they price them at whatever suits them!
4. Due to the horrible weather conditions , we couldn’t do any water sports for a few days until the day before our departure when the skies were partially clear, we were given a go ahead to seabob . We knew the rain forecast was at around 12 :30 pm for that day but was informed that the instructor was only available at 11:30 am . Barely 5 minutes into the sea & struggling to get a hang of the seabob , we were asked to get out of the water as the waves & winds grew stronger. We were charged for 15 minutes of sea bobbing when infact it was only 5 minutes ! When this was brought to their notice , we were told it’s a third party & there’s nothing they can do ! This sure did leave an absolute bad taste .
5. The infinity pool lights at the extreme wow ocean escape was faulty & was not working during our entire stay . As a result , we ended up hurting ourselves with multiple scratches and bruises from the hard cemented surfaces inside the pool . Use of tiles inside the plunge pool would’ve prevented this mishap.
6. Missing Pergola on the outer deck lounge which I believe wasn’t fixed since their last rains. The sunbed which was blown away by the winds was not replaced either.
7. The general manager made an appearance on day 1 and day 6 . Day 1 was a great welcome & orientation from the general manager & his team . On Day 6 , we were approached once again while having lunch & was told he would be arranging a special night for us as we were leaving the following day . To our surprise they was no special arrangements being made but infact slapped with a ridiculous bill at the Fire restaurant which left us in bad taste indeed!
8. The 2 hour private yatch ride was more like pulling a death defying stunt as we were sitting on pins and needles with our stomachs churning during our entire journey! Absolutely no communication or reassurance from the crew . Not doing it again !
9. Overall, the lounges at this resort are mediocre and do not match up to their pricing. Also the fact that they have a few dining options & it’s below average ambience do make it less appealing for a second visit !

Really thank you so much for your great hospitality. We felt like we are at our home .

Special thanks to Novita from front office she took care of us during our whole stay and chef at kitchen as week sunny form FB team as well the airport team so helpful

Dear W Maldive team, it was Amazing 5 days i spent with my wife in your hotel, i love the welcome presentation when all team was waiting for us although it was crazy raining but all team was there to welcoming the guests. It is really a very innovative way to make us feel we are within Family,
The room, the view, the food, the clean less, hospitality, even the good bye moment when all team was there till we left......everything is perfect and ideal.
Dear Idu, it was so nice to meet you, and all your team, you really have an Amazing tram working there, i can say one of the best hospitality i received after 15 years of traveling and staying in more than 50 Marriott bonvoy hotels.
I want to Thank here Sherif for the perfect housekeeping he is doing every day and many surprises he did for us ;-) , and i want to thank Monti for his great Service and support and very nice hospitality, and thanks for Araash for all the help and support he give to us since we step to the resort till when we left.
I am sorry there is a lot of members which i am not recall names however i want to thank them all as they are really great.
For sure i have to come back again to see all of you guys again, i can say now that W is my Second home in Maldive.

My name is Huda! ❤️
It was one of the best hotels ever, staff is amazing, service, wifi, cleanliness and FOOD!!

The staff: ashraf, idu, Mousa, adam, ali, farooq, sandeep, arash, ayish, Yani , and sooo many other names i forgot!! I LOVEEE THE STAFF BEST BEST EVER!!❤️❤️❤️

They helped us in everything and overall 10000 STAR hotel and service !

I will definitely come back! One of our best trips ever❤️
