This is a very nice place for a quiet getaway without many distractions. The location is absolutely wonderful - although the surrounding waters have quite a bit of current, great fun if you like snorkling and is a somewhat capable swimmer, but if not, you need to pay attention to where you go as the current is very strong close to the southern end of the island and under the water villas!

We had a detached villa on the east side of the island, which is definitely recommendable in January - february as the breeze is on the eastern side of the island. The villa had two chairs, two loungers and a swing chair on the patio and had a great view of the beach and the sea.
The room itself was overall good and the cleanliness of the place was very good. The villa did look slightly worn though and looked like it could do with a bit of an overhaul, but not a major detraction from the overall experience which was great.

The food was quite nice and varied, although the all inclusive package wasn't really that extensive, offering only a limited assortment of drinks and not much in terms of discount on other beverages. It is still good value for money though as beverages are quite expensive (like on any Maldivian resort).

The service staff was generally very friendly, especially the waiters in the main restaurant! Senior staff however did not seem very focused on coming across as friendly.

Only slight complaint is that the place looks slightly dilapidated due to many of the thatched roofs being in disrepair. It is only a visual thing (there is a blue tarpaulin roof under to keep the water out), but it is a shame, as the rest of the place was really well kept and groomed, but the missing thatching did detract from the visual impression.

We stayed at Medhufushi Resort in Apr'19 for few days!! Good facilities and very warm hospitality. I had done the booking through one of their tour operator "Tessa Maldives" who's link is available to the resort website but the service of the tour operator is horrible. You need to keep chasing them for the confirmation and other things. Would never use them again.
Internet is also not good which in a way is good as one is forced to stay away from the social media and enjoys the island!!
Overall an excellent place to stay!!

Maldives was a unique vacation as it is a country of islands. We enjoyed the Sea Plane journeys We went in the deep sea for dolphins watch which was unique. I am a regular traveler and been to about 40 countries and would highly recommend Maldives for a laid back vacation.
