We were made to feel quite special and the level of service and quality of accommodation was far beyond our expectations.

We have no hesitations in promoting this outstanding resort complex.

Cant wait to visit again !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We stayed in april 2010 for 2 weeks and true to the brochure we did get upgraded to an escape water villa which apart from the air con was a lovely room to stay in . The island is actually quite large and would be very pleasant to walk around if there were not golf carts going back and forwards all the time which are only for the exclusive use of the residence water villas. This is where the stars restaurant is which is also only exclusive to the residence on that side though we did eat and drink there without being told we couldnt and found the food was very nice. Overall the food on the island was just great and there was plenty of choice every night but be warned the drinks are expensive and I would say go half board only , we had full board and struggled to spend our allowance which would never be discounted against anything else you did. The lunches are cheap enough and the pizzas at the bar are big enough for two to share along with the a la carte offered in Air the lunch is very good and cheaper to pay as you go rather than full board basis.
They do have a daft dress code which is no vest tops for men in the restuarants and long trousers for men in the evenings in Stars and Aqua even though its very humid and suppose to be a relaxing holiday. My partner had no long trousers with him and wore smart shorts with a smart top and nothing was said and we only heard one lady moan about it all holiday but then we noticed she moaned about everything. I'm afraid we did hear one man at beakfast being told that his vest top was not appropiate attire which should never have happened in full view and hearing range of the other guests it was handled very badly.
We did arrange an early morning fishing trip and arrived bright eyed and bushy tailed ready to go at 7 in the morning only to find it had not been booked and that no one knew about it ..... and im afraid to say the reception area was never very helpful, they never got back to you and the management team were also on the same level.
On the up side the snorkelling was great and the best area is by the water villas and we found all the staff very friendly though their smiles were ordered and those that did not were soon relieved of their duties.
It is a great island and could be amazing if it was allowed to be a relaxing escape from the everyday grind.

We absolutely loved the Coco Palm resort. We went in July with our two young children. The accommodation could not have been more perfect; the villas are huge with everything you could wish for. We stayed in an island villa which I highly recommend for those traveling with families. The villa pool is fantastic and the back area is very private. We found all the staff to be very friendly and accommodating and also showed a genuine interest in the children. The buffet food was extremely good for large catered buffet. If I had to struggle to criticize, then it would be on the cost of drinks and the other restaurants. Cocktails start at $13 and wine at around $60, but then again you know that is how it is in the Maldives due to the import taxes. Coco Palm do however provide free bottled water though unlike other Maldives resorts we have been to where you pay around $8 a bottle.
My husband went diving which he said was very good and not too expensive either. The resort reef was very good; our three year old was able to see plenty of fish off of the welcome jetty without even snorkeling.
We booked our holiday through Maldives Direct who were absolutely superb! The staff were so friendly and really tuned into our requirements. Diana did a great job in ensuring our package was tailored exactly to our needs and they secured us one of the best villas on the island with a great bit of beach (as not all Island villas do have a good bit of beach directly outside the villa). I will definitely use them again!

We stayed at Coco Palm Bodu Hithi in July 2009 for our honeymoon. It was excelent, the most beautiful place. We had a little cottige on the beach with everything we needed. We liked that we felt like we were alone on the island.
The service was great, the staff very welcoming, very respectful, the surroundings incredible.
Do try the spa and get a massage it is great.
It is the perfect place for honeymoon.
The only thing is that after a couple of days it can get borring.

Would return any time!

My wife and I, having just got married for the second time, chose a 5 star island in The Maldives for our perfect honeymoon, courtesy of strong advice from Maldives Direct.

From the moment we arrived we fell in love with the Coco Palm, Bodu Hithi.

The island is small but with white sandy beaches and a lot of water based activities. Our Beach Villa was quite superb, with our own pool, sun bed, circular bath, super king sized bed (it must have been 7 feet wide), decking area and short (20 yards) secluded and private entrance to the beach with white sand and crystal clear sea.

The 4 restaurants all looked superb, although we only used Air and Aqua. The food was excellent and although overall prices for drinks etc were high, they were good value when you put them in context against the top quality resort (only 100 rooms and 200 people).

The whole island is kept spotless by a work force of around 300, all of whom had beaming smiles and a very warm welcome whenever you met any one of them.

In all holidays there will probably be the odd glitch, and ours was that around our vialla there were some mosquitos, but the staff couldn't have worked harder to eradicate them and it was clear that this problem was rare and isolated.

All in all, the best holiday that my (new) wife and I have ever taken anywhere in the world.

We have just returned from our honeymoon in Coco Palm on Bodu Hithi and we could not find one fault with the place, it is the most beautiful place on earth! It was everything you could expect a honeymoon to be, romantic and intimate.

We stayed in escape water villa 516 (as advised by Jim from Maldives direct) this was perfect as it was right on the end of the jetty where the escape water villas are so this meant total privacy, the only people we saw when sunbathing by our pool was boats go past, pure luxury. The villas themselves are very spacious and clean, well tended to by Ismail who looked after our room during our stay.

The food was top notch throughout the whole stay, we ate in all three restaurants, stars and aqua were the al-a-carte restaurants and the food was simply gorgeous, and the food in the buffet was amazing also, so fresh and always a wide variety to choose from. The staff were very friendly and helpful, infact they didnt seem to like you to do anything for yourself. We always found them extremely nice to speak to and nothing is too much for them.

The spa itself was lovely, again very spacious and the treatments are really tailored to how you want them, they were the best massages/facials I have ever had I wish I could of taken the staff home with me.

We would go back in a second, this was our first trip to the Maldives and it certainly wont be the last infact me and my new husband would be nervous to go anywhere other than coco palm for fears it would not be as good, we really did find coco palm faultless. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!
