Period listed building which , hundreds of years ago , was the village school. It has been converted by the current owner into a classic Bed and Breakfast.
If you want en suites, sky tv in your room and the usual plastic finish which is generally the cheap multi venue UK option then don't bother.
Your hostess ( Sally-Ann) will ensure your stay is made as pleasurable as possible. Her attention to detail during my visit was second to none.
I was in Bicester on a training course, on arriving back at the close of the day I was greeted with a lovely smile, a cup of tea and a special cake.... What else do you need
If you want to soak up the history of this beautiful venue , and enjoy the hospitality of Sally-Ann then visit The Old School B & B.
Oh and I intend to go back with my partner
Beautiful first impression, don't be fooled!! I have to rate this bed and breakfast establishment as the worst place I have stayed. Not as clean as it should be, animal hairs in kitchen, unhygienic bathroom, someone's clothes in wardrobe, very old blankets on bed, stained covers, cobwebs, dead insects in a lot of places. This cottage has the makings of being a fantastic place but sadly ruined by the very old bric a brac covering every inch of space. Good thing is its in the heart of the village near the church where we were going to a wedding.
Sally-Ann is the most charming host, from the warm welcome with cold drinks, through to the pretty house and garden, this is a thoroughly old-school experience. Delicious breakfast in the kitchen, cooked on an aga. Thank you for everything!
