Beautiful place to be when hot or cold. Great for a stroll looking out across the river. Two pubs to choose from which both do food. There is a cafe also and the usual sailing shop.l

There are numerous places to eat at Heybridge Basin and all are good value for money and equal in quality. The walk along the canal is as interesting as sitting in the Wilkins cafe and watching the activity on the waterfront and the boats coming in and out of the lock.

Three places to eat and drink.

The tea room run by Wilkins (the Tiptree Jam people) serve tea, cakes and wine right next to the water.

The Ship is right by the lock and you can eat and watch the boats go through the lock and away towards Norsey and Osea Island.

The Jolly Sailor is excellent for seafood and a good pint.

Go there, its worth a visit... why not go for a walk along the sea wall too.

The Heybridge basin is a good venue for walkers, cyclists or just a nice place to relax. With two pubs offering food of a reasonable standard and wonderful views regardless of the season. Easily accessable with good parking.

If the answer's yet, then you won't be disappointed. With a canal joining the river, and a marina, this place is packed full of boats of all sizes. You'll also find nice sea wall walks and a couple of friendly pubs.
