Margam Park is just a lovely day out - £3.50 to park your car and there's usually something to do from kayaking and zorbing to Go Ape if you can afford it, or the residential centre where you can do pond dipping and shelter building and the like. They also do ghost walks and bat watching in the autumn which is great for the kids! My kids love it!

Whatever your idea of a day out is Margam Park will offer you a wonderful couple of hours just wandering around this place and there's no entrance fee, just £3.50 for car parking. Where else will you find an Orangery,an Abbey,a stelely home, and even a little playground, zoo and Deer herd. The park is criss crossed with footpaths in each and every direction, and to top it all off a mini gauge railwayline from the top to bottom of the hill. For an extra special day out (with your little Monkeys) I would advise of looking up on whether "Go Ape" is available, though be aware that it is quite expensive.

Margam Park is great value for money for the family and your dog, we paid £3.90 for parking the car and that was that due to the fact there wasnt a major event taking plaice only a craft fair in the Castle, however the Newfoundland water rescue dogs were practising in the lake and provided great entertainment. The bonus for us was we can take our dogs obviously obiding by the usual rules for dogs,on leads and clearing up their mess.
We have made many visits to the park and its delivered value for money everytime.

Plenty of walks, great scenery, loved the train ride. Would take a picnic next time food in only cafe mediocre and fairly pricey. Plenty for the children, zoo, play area and wide open spaces. Good for couples the old gardens are peaceful and scenic. No fee for entry to park but car parking fee.
