Drove straight in and parking was made easy by the helpful staff directing you to empty parking spots. A big thumbs up on that initiative.

Once you enter the zoo you are greeted by live koalas, crocodiles, birds which you could get up close and personal and have a great photo taken with. The staff are only too willing to impart with information about the animals in their care. They are obliging and helpful.

Loved the openness of the zoo and you are able to wander around freely and see the giant turtles, cheetahs, adorable tigers, giraffes, camels, elephants, zebras, rhinos, native birds, reptiles, crocodiles, kangaroos and koalas. For those with family members who can't walk that well there is also a shuttle service around the zoo which is informative as well as dropping you off at different points of interest on the way.

The grounds are lovely and clean. The shows are well worth a look at and the whole place has a very good family vibe. Loved the conservation ideas as well.

We would definately recommend as a must to visit. We hope you all enjoy yourselves as much as we did. Ps my hubby is a bit if a camera buff and he was able to get some really great natural shots of the animals with ease. So for all you camera buffs don't forget to take them with you.

Spent a nice few hours with my wife at Australia Zoo. The zoo was very clean and well presented with helpful friendly staff. There were not too many animals which allowed you to spend a decent amount of time at the exhibits you want to see. The was never a feeling of pressure to move on. There message of conservation is well expressed without being forced down your throat.

This is live adventure in the outdoors seeing animals up close and personal! The attendants are obviously in love with their animals, yet respect they are WILDlife! It is a wonderful experience to travel the Zoo train, walk the bush paths, mingle with the kangaroos, and watch in awe the informative bird show, the crocodile feeding, and the tigers. Steve, "Crikey" , Irwin knew what excites people about natural wonders in the wild!

We took the train to Beerwah station, and there was a waiting van to take us from there to the zoo. The zoo has a pretty straightforward layout, with a shuttle to take you around to different areas. We did have to wait a while for the shuttle to bring us back from the African section at the very end of the park, but no other complaints. If you needed it, they do have mobility scooters available to hire for the day.

The animals seem very well cared for, and the workers are very friendly. Enjoyed the various demonstrations and talks they had. For a price, I believe $25-35 each, we each got to hold a koala for pictures.

They have a food court, the prices there aren't too bad, and I had a respectable steak pie to hold me over.

We had a nice day there, stayed until we had to catch the last connection back to the train. We got to see everything except for the animal hospital, as there wasn't enough time before heading back. Would highly recommend a visit.
