Watching the horizon blur in magentas while elaborate aftertastes tickle my velum, washed down with fine wine and raki, feeling the sea salt dry on my skin and the evening breeze sooth the heat of the day, listening to laughs and chit chat among beautiful happy people. Bliss!!!
These people know fish, they know what to get, how to treat it, how to cook it and they are not afraid to take risks, ...they must love it. The menu is more integrated than high end gourmet, not expected from an easy going joint on the beach. The tapas are balancing between delicate and controversial tastes. Just relax, take your time, the aftertastes are on the way. The chefs managed to produce a complete and elaborate set of tapas, appropriate for the surroundings yet satisfactory for the more pretentious. Don't hold back, order what seems strange, you will be rewarded.
Add the relaxed atmosphere, the happy people, the setting, the reasonable prices and there you have it, bliss.

“The best seafood ever...”
Reviewed January 4, 2014

I visited this restaurant on my first night in Platis Gialos and I am so glad I did. The food was absolutely perfect as were the staff. I of course went back many times during my trip to try different dishes that they offer. I remember asking why they didn't seem to ever have kalamari on the menu (although they did have baby kalamari) and was told that they only accept the best kalamari so if it wasn't to standard, they'd rather not have it. When I did finally get to taste the kalamari one night, I have to say they were not wrong! It was perfection.

If you're ever in Platis Gialos, make sure you eat here!

“Fish at its greatest”
Reviewed September 11, 2013

I must admit that the place looked small. Just long tables with bar stools. Well, the food, the wine, the fish is fresh - innovatively presented and very very tasty. I must admit that it was one of the best fish Tapas I ever had.

One negative - where on earth did they get that waiter (I did not dare ask if he was one of the owners). Although he delivered the items ordered, etc. it was like he was bored to death and grinned (not nicely) everytime we asked for something. Really... built such a nice place, such good food and kill it because of the waiter???

Prices were reasonable for the type of restaurant and good it was.
