“Italian beachlife”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 16, 2014

Palmira is one of the very few reasons I deny myself a splash at the rocks and head down to the busy Platis Yialos. Situated at the far end of the beach it looses the big crowds and the weekenders that prefer the safety of the center. The scenery is ruled by the Italian owners who manage to look beautiful and cheerful everyday. They actually enjoy themselves so much they create a very friendly, easy going atmosphere, within gentle limits and professionalism. The music is unexpectedly good and contributes a happy flare to the scene. Service is always on time and smiley. The menu is what you expect from a beach joint. Light meals, colorful salads and freshly made sandwiches, all with an Italian touch. Cocktails are good, nothing fancy, well prepared and hearty. The sea is at your feet and sunbeds are free. In all, beachlife.. the Italian way.

“Slack service and below average drinks.”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 12, 2014 via mobile

Had an ouzo meze plate consisting of a couple of slices of tomato, cucumber, olives, very low quality cheese and some canned fish of some sort,6 euros.Don't remember what they charged for the ouzo but the glass was packed full of ice as to enhance the quantity.
Some of the seats which are white, were filthy and not very comfortable to sit on.The waitress inattentive and seemed to be walking on clouds.

“Great for breakfast and drinks!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 11, 2014

Had a great time there! Very nice breakfast, nice music and setting. It is on the beach and one can always have a swim at the wonderful Platys Gialos beach in front of Palmira. Nice music and very friendly staff! The place to be in Platys Gialos all day!

“Best by the beach bar at Platis Gialos Sifnod”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 2, 2014 via mobile

Great place to deposit yourself if you want to swim at the Platis Yialos beach in Sifnos. Hand made cocktails with real fruits and juices - extremely well executed. Very good music at a level everyone is comfortable with and the snacks are excellent. Must be a place where I had excellent sandwiches. Did not try the pizza but the others told me it was great!
