Mixed review because fish and spiny lobster were actually incredibly fresh and well cooked but prices are simply outrageous. THe island wine is sold three time its price. Except "le mas du Langoustier" there is no really good restaurant on the Island, this one could be one because the cook has some talent (the home pasta with Juniper and peppers are excellent and it is a brilliant idea), the location is stunning and the restaurant is cosy, but I left the place with the sour impression I was robbed...

Just got back from a few days stay at Le Porquerollais and can definitely reccomend it. Our room was average size, clean and tidy with a nice view on to the local square, Place d'Armes. The staff were great, very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is served in the restaurant, overlooking the village square, brought to our table each morning all laden on a lovely tray was a couple of jams, plenty of french bread, fresh orange juice and tea of coffee. Can highly recommend the restaurant for dinner in the evening, wonderful selection of fresh local seafood, incuding local fish, oysters, mussels, clams etc etc and all beautifully presented. Splash out on the bouillabaise, its fantastic!

On arrival, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and tidy. However, it wasn't the kind of room one would expect for 200€ a night. The room was very plain without refreshments or hairdryer and the view was of the open-roofed hotel kitchen below and an appartment opposite. Consequently, opening the windows let in the smell of food and the noise of the kitchen staff.
Also upon complaining several times about our broken TV it was never fixed during our stay. One day we even left our keys with staff and asked for the tv to be fixed while we were out, but when we came back that evening noone seemed to know about the tv or our keys and we eventually found that our keys had been left in our door all day!! Luckily none of our possesions had been stolen, but the tv was still broken! Upon leaving we complained about the broken TV and the fact that our room had been left open by staff, but the acting manager said it was nothing to do with him and refused to offer any compensation. However, upon emphasizing how dissatisfied we were with the hotel he did eventually offer us a free glass of fruit juice!!! But we still had to pay the full price.
Upon exploring Porquerolles, we discovered many other nicer hotels in the same location for similar or cheaper prices, namely Les Medes and Ville Saint Anne. We will be staying in these next time.
