I was so grateful to have the opportunity to tour this church. Murano, which is a lovely but somewhat quiet place, is the perfect setting to enjoy and savor the majesty of this chapel and the artistry of the architecture and contents.

The exterior of this church makes it worth seeing all on it's own, but the interior is worth seeing as well. A lot of work is currently ongoing to the mosaic floor, which is it's great selling point on the inside, but they are working one small area at a time, so it doesn't detract from the visit.
Overall the interior architecture is very nice, but not on par with the larger churches on the main island.
If you find yourself in Murano, take a break from the glass shopping and see this duomo. Then, go next door and have lunch at Al Canton.

12th century mosaic floor, made of porphyry, serpentine and other precious marbles and stones, with geometric pattern and figurative images. Amazing detail.

A simply beautiful honey coloured building from the outside and inside was this amazing mosaic floor.
