Were staying 3 nts around the corner & used this osteria twice on a lunchtime only, never saw it open on an evening.Early lunchtime around midday its jammed with locals( which is always a good sign), the food is standard Italian & served very promptly with menus in several languages. We were made to feel welcome & whilst maybe not having some of the frills of a Venetian restaurant, neither did the bill !

Had lunch here and it was just what we were looking for: fresh seafood! Would recommend the fitura mista. Also had the seafood antipasti which had great flavour. My boyfriend had the spaghetti bolognese and meet stew which he really liked. Good atmosphere and a friendly humoristic waiter. The restaurant was packed with locals and tourists, so get there early.

Well off the beaten path but still close to the city center. This is a neighborhood osteria and it's most likely that you will be the only tourist in a restaurant full of locals. We had red cabbage risotto, cuttlefish pasta, fresh peas in olive oil, scrumptious rolls, baby sea snails in olive oil and basil, fava beans and onions in a vinegarette, beef in an amazing tomato sauce, plus half a carafe of white wine for 28 euro. The food was delicious, the staff friendly, and the chef sent the snails and lava beans to our table as his compliments because he didn't want us missing out on two of the most traditional dishes served on Murano! Amazing and you won't be disappointed!

Everyone wants to be with the locals and we are no different. Very much so here -- all men and all workers at lunch. Pitcher of red wine at every table. Reasonably priced simple decent food served quickly. Lunch only.

My wife and I started coming here many years ago, before it became more popular with other tourists (we're half-residents of Venice, in a way!) and would always rave about it to friends. We would bring our closest friends, relatives, and even our students on field trips for an authentic, low-key, and absolutely fabulous lunch. My wife lives for the spaghetti alle vongole ('alle gondole' as my clever niece used to say when she was little) and I live and breathe in Venice for the pasta al nero here. Nothing beats these meals in all the world for us! The quality is superlative! The ambience is perfect! Who can complain when you can eat such great food with locals (fishermen, local businessmen, etc) in a relaxed place. That is, we relax; the staff is frantic! They are always fast, exact, and excellent. Igor and company even remember our faces after a long absence - "Ma, ... l'ultima volta, non eravate qui con un sacco di studenti americani?!" Yeah, that was us! For as long as we visit Venice, we will come here for our pasta al nero pilgrimage. It is a must for us as it should be for everyone! While we would like to keep this our secret dining place on Murano, it is only fair to La Perla ai bisatei that they get the recognition they deserve! By no means should you miss out the bussolai, grana, e vino dolce to end the meal. In poche parole, si mangia da re!
