This is a lovely accommodation. The rooms are simple yet spacious. The breakfast is simple but everything is quality. The terrace looks out to a beautiful garden and the water. It's a little out of the way but a great choice. The owners are super nice and make you feel like it's home.

My husband and I stayed at Villa Lina for four nights. When we booked, our host, Evi, sent us a map and directions ahead of time. They were essential since Villa Lina is located inside a glass factory on Murano, an island that's a quick vaparetto ride from Venice. Upon arrival, Evi offered us a drink, reviewed a map of Murano, gave us the vaparetto schedule and advised on a restaurant for dinner. Her home is beautiful with a very contemporary decor and artwork--a nice contrast to the Renaissance creations we'd been overwhelmed with in Florence and Venice! Our room was very comfortable, clean and attractive and had everything we needed. We enjoyed breakfasts on the terrace overlooking the canal. Evi is a wonderful host, even providing ice compresses when my husband injured his elbow! If you are looking for a restful spot just minutes away from the bustle of Venice, I'd highly recommend Villa Lina.

This is a lovely B&B set in an interesting location---inside the walled compound of an old glass factory. The B&B itself is delightful. Its right on the waterfront of a large canal and has nice clean rooms, outstanding breakfast, lovely gardens and a beautiful second floor breakfast patio overlooking the gardens and quiet waterfront. Owner Evi Ferro Nason is warm, friendly and cheerfully willing to chat (in English or Italian) about Venice, Murano, etc. ---including recommendations on places to eat or shop. Murano has many more sights and interesting neighborhoods to see besides the inside of glassworks and gifts shops. Much less touristy and a thoroughly different atmosphere than Venice--with a slower pace of life. Definitely consider Murano and the Villa Lina B&B for a couple days if you are planing a trip to Venice.

I stayed at Evi's bed & breakfast for 5 nights on the Venetian Glass maker Island of Murano . Besides Evi being a wonderful, friendly, caring & communicative host, making sure my stay was terrific, the room I stayed in was air-conditioned, really clean, serviced every morning by the wonderful Christina, with a really comfortable bed, great bathroom, view to the canal & beautiful gardens. Evi place is steeped in her family's history of Murano glass. The gourmet breakfast I was served every morning was delicious! I highly recommend Evi's place for first class Venetian accommodation. Thanks Evi! I will stay with you again.

Room Tip: My room overlooked the sea surrounding the Island, & the beautiful gardens. It was great to see...

We booked Villa Lina on the strength of the reviews given and we were not disappointed. From the moment we arrived we felt so welcomed into their family home. The Villa has been converted into a most wonderful B&B, allowing guests to experience the amenities of a first class B&B, but still retaining the warmth of a family home. The owners Evi and Carlo are so warm and friendly and at the same time providing you with all of the information to help you make the most of your vacation. Evi is assisted by her friend Christina, who helps with the day to day running of the B&B, who is also warm and kind. As other reviews have mentioned, breakfast is a whole experience in itself. You are allowed the time to enjoy a sumptuous breakfast, including homemade cake, overlooking the canal what could be better. The room we stayed in was large, spotlessly clean, with a welcome flower and homemade biscuits. There is even a fridge in the room and a kettle to make that all important cup of tea! We love Venice, but Murano has a warmth all of its own and it was nice to come back to at the end of a busy day and relax in the garden with a drink. Evi and Carlo even arranged a booking for us on our last night at a local restaurant AquaStanca where we all met and had a drink together. The restaurant was lovely, the food excellent and it gave you an insight into Italian life on Murano - warm and welcoming. We stayed for two weeks at Villa Lina and every day felt special. Thank you Evi, Carlo and Christina for making our holiday very special. As Carlo would say, PERFECTO!!

All we can really do is reiterate the the wonderful comments from preceding people.
Evi is the greatest of hosts and showed us a rare blend of attention, helpfulness and concern for our well being and yet giving us freedom and independence. Since both she and Carlo have been in the glass industry from for ever they are very knowledgeable and helpful in this area. We are also grateful to Evi for suggestions as to where to go and Evi took the trouble to look up prospective accommodation for us of her own volition. Carlo was always nearby and was always very friendly and helpful. A beautiful and warm couple with a beautiful B&B
Rooms are modern, quiet and meticulously clean with everything you require.Even the sheets are ironed with care!
Others have mentioned the idyllic nature of breakfast on the balcony overlooking the garden and Venice. Elizabeth loved the home baked cakes for breakfast, as well as everything else, but for me it was the fresh fruit salad-" the best we had in all of Italy."

For those of you who are contemplating staying in Venice could I suggest the alternative of staying with Evi on Murano as it is only a few minutes to Venice and after the bustle of Venice it offers a very peaceful, pleasant, affordable location to unwind, and even the beautiful big garden with hidden corners for resting amongst the lush almost semi tropical plants provides a sense of being sheltered away from all civilization. The room was air conditioned and spotlessly clean; the views from the room were lovely; the bed was very comfortable and I can't think of a single thing we did not like. There was Venetian glass everywhere with flair. We think it was Carlo who may have made and sold us our very modern chandelier some 40 odd years ago!! What a surprise!.
I am sure everyone would enjoy a number of nights here. For us we would never contemplate staying on the main island again.
Thank you Carlo and Evi for being such wonderful hosts.

My review is no different from the others that you may have read. This wonderful home is first class and affordable. When you confirm your booking with Evi, she will send you detailed information as well as a map to the villa.

It is a wonderful hideaway, hidden in a glass factory. When you open the large doors, walk directly foward where you will find a grey door which opens to the B&B. Please press the bell to Villa Lina before you go in to the grey door.

Evi and Christina are such wonderful hosts and you really feel that you are family. They are super efficient and at the end of of a phone call whenevr you need anything. They are 2 wonderful nurturing mamas who makes you feel right at home instantly! I have never felt like this in a B&B. The love and warmth combined with clean, comfortable and chic rooms are just what you need after the crowds and noise of Venice.

This gem of a place is only a 8 minute walk from the nearest vaporetto station ( no bridge ). It is also a 5 minute walk to the center of town. What more could we ask for ???

The furniture is comfortable and you are allowed use of the den, dining room and the patio/ balcony which offers beautiful view of Venice and sunsets...

Once you are settled, Evi spends time with you with all the ionformation you need and the best restaurants to go etc.... She also provides an ext number where you can get her should you need anything.

All in all, the best of hotel amenities, love and warmth of a home and family, all for the price of a B&B !
