the weather was excellent, the hike from Fuji Sengen Shrine (864 m) to the Sato Goya hut (2320 m) very pleasant through forests and pass abandoned tea houses which are being torn apart> We stayed over night where dinner included all-you-can-eat curry rice and started climbing again at first light in the morning. At noon we were at the top and started descending to the fifth station bus stop where we arrived in time for the last bus to Kawaguchi-ko (17:50). Our 6 years old enjoyed the challenge - a remarkable experience! My 80-years old father climbed to the 7th+ station and waited for us to return from the top. "If I had one week for the climb and descent, I could have done it!" This is an example of positive thinking!!
