“Another visit (or two)”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 13, 2012

We visited the Coyote again on our trip to Aubenas, and went a second time before we left. The food is excellent - try the marbled foie gras, or the fish, or the meat.....I could not fault it. The service is very good indeed, unfussy, precise and not intrusive. BUT do book to avoid disappointment - we saw a number of diners turned away. You can pay less in Aubenas but not for this quality reckon on £30 - 40 a head with wine, coffee and tip.

“Perfect food, no-frills restaurant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 20, 2012

We chose the restaurant when reading the menu, walking by this restaurant by chance. We were not deceived in the evening: the food is excellent, creative yet typically French. Portions are very fine and, most of all, the price is unbeatable. They also have a nice choice of wines. The restaurant is run by a couple: he cooks, she serves.
Be aware that the menu might change between lunch and dinner as they decide which dishes are offered according to what was on the market and the mood of the chef. As the service is done by the chef's spouse alone, she has to be efficient and fast and sometimes lacks courtesy. This, however, should not prevent anybody from enjoying the great food they offer!

“Worth finding”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 10, 2011

This restaurant takes food seriously and the presentation is very good. Service was excellent - we arrived a little before they opened but were not turned away but show to a table to wait a while. Not a cheap dinner but you get what you pay for.
