The Wakefield flower children and good cheif have combined to give a lovely fun spot with great service and good food. On a nice day the garend is where you want to be. The special hamburger was possibly the best ever with no ketsup or mustard needed! If you are near go for sure!

We have been fans of Chez Éric’s for many years. Either on the way to the lake or on our way home it has been a long standing love affair.

This last visit did not disappoint. The daily changing menu was once again laden with local freshness and delectable foods.

The duck Carpaccio appetizer cut paper thin, with fresh wild blueberries and radicchio was a fine starter. The house smoked salmon scrumptious.

For mains we sampled the Cajun catfish done just spicy enough and to perfection and the confit de canard was just as a duck boiled in its own juices for hours should be; crispy and delicious.

Fresh fruit and chocolate Alexander for dessert were just fine.

The small wine list was somewhat depleted the night we were there but still had sufficient ``matchable`` variety to interest us.

Décor well what can I say; an old rambling Wakefield house, no A/C but great garden seating, herb garden and smoker off to the side, among the fruit trees on a beautiful summer evening.

Not much could be finer than that!

Service is knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. Chef/owner Che Chartrand cheerfully tours around between courses adding more character to a great atmosphere.

Can`t wait to go back!

We went to Chez Éric on a thursday evening. It was our first time, always wanted to tried it, after nice comments and a piece on it in La Presse.

There is a lovely relax and cozy atmosphere, with very good food.

Our waiter was nice and smiling (so lovely to go for nice food and having a charming waiter, and not someone snotty!!!).
We were sitting in the garden and OH THE SMELL. You could smell the BBQ and smoker (in another part of the garden). So imagine sitting in a garden, with those lovely yummy aromas around you, laid-back people being happy, and eating delicious food.

We took the "better chicken" (the flavors were excellent) and the jerk pork skewer (the meat was so tender, and the sweet potatoes mash was delicious and spicy).

If you want very good food, where there is an attention to detail and flavor, in a cozy relax atmosphere, do not hesitate to drive up to Chez Eric. You wont regret it! A very nice evening!

I love this place, I love their wine list, I love sitting out back in the twinkly light, I love their cheese plate, the flowers in the food (edible of course) and the duck confit- YUM!! And the burger- super yum. The owner and chef Che is a hoot, he has a zany sense of humor and is just on top of things and he remembers us always when we go back- tops up our wine on the house- love that.

It is obvious that the folks at Chez Eric take a lot of pride in what they do. Everything we ate was prepared with care. It was beautiful to look at and amazing to eat! The service was excellent and the food was divine.

My husband and I went there on a Saturday night for my 40th Birthday and it was definitely the right choice as the meal was very memorable. We will certainly be back!
