I spend a weekend with my sister at the A-Rosa hotel. Our room was spacious and overlooking the entrance area. Only downside in the room was the pillows, they were too small and it wasn't possible to mold them properly. The spa area was really nice, several sauna options. Missed a whirlpool to loosen up the muscles after having a personal trainer for an hour (hard, but efficient). The food was fantastic, both breakfast and dinner was really delicious. But you have to pay 9€ for a bottle of water which makes it more expensive than the glass of wine I bought. I would suggest the hotel to make the water free for people buying it along with a glass/bottle of wine. It's ok to charge for people only drinking water, but not as an addition to the wine. I would definitely go back (but then I will not choose the water in the restaurant :-)

Just as an intro: I travel for living with over 100 flights a year and have stayed in zero and 6 star hotels. The same is true for my family.

The A-Rosa is a new hotel next to the Beach in Sylt (List). Very uniquely located and walking distance into List "Centre". The building from outside is a 4 story modern building, which doesn't fit overly well into the environment. It's new high property though.

Given Sylt was fully booked for the Easter weekend, we thought to try this versus our favorite the Faehrhaus (Munkmarsch) - never mind the outside looks.

It turns out that the rooms were very nice, albeit functional. Everything is as you expect it to be in a city downtown high end business hotel.

The breakfast food quality was ok, but the taste was a disaster.

The services end to end is superficially friendly and cold. True for the reception, as well as the restaurant. The world "cold" comes to mind. The service is basic and not forthcoming (lifting luggage is the car trunk? No). I also thought staff profiles customers somewhat.

I would not recommend the hotel nor would I stay there again.

A-Rosa hotel in List is a very nice hotel. The room is very nice, bed is really big and very comfortable. The room is equipped with a lot of storage place, very nicely organized.
Hotel personal very friendly and professional. Spa area very luxurious, with inside and outside pool. Sauna in many varieties. This is Germany, one needs to be aware of nude culture here......
Only one small thing is the language capabilities of morning restaurant servers... Some are not even fluent in German....
Apart from that, breakfast is really great!
Hotel placement in the north of Sylt is very nice. Walking distance to beach, restaurant, dunes etc .
Nice place for a luxurious getaway...

Everything about this hotel makes it special.

It's in an envious position overlooking the sea.

The rooms are spacious, with everything you would need to make your stay comfortable.

It has great facilities, particularly the spa and swimming areas, and the gym.

The food is of an extremely high standard, every meal, every time. Great attention to detail was made in the presentation.

The staff were generally polite and helpful, and even when issues occurred dealt with them professionally.

Conference facilities are good, perhaps not as good as other 5 star hotels... but with the other points above something you can forgive!

Any Hotel Manager with ambitions should stay at A-rosa Sylt and experience how perfect service is delivered. The staff is always one step ahead of the Guest and extremely professional. This all the way through from the Front Desk to the Housemaids.
The Hotel is extremely well kept, very clean and has a lovely atmosphere with an open fireplace and loads of candles.
Only disappointment was the evening buffet which was far too sparse compared to A-rosa Travemünde.
