“Scandinavian architecture”
Reviewed November 3, 2012

As I'm a Scandinavian design liker, this museum was very fruitful for me. The temporary exhibition about Nordic architecture and identity was a summary of impressions I had during my trips through Norway, Iceland, Faroe islands, Denmark and Sweden.
The garden offers a very intimate view of the sea. We picnicked on the wooden benches.
A place where you could stay for many hours...

“Wonderful exhibition in a spectaculat setting”
Reviewed October 23, 2012

We visited when a fantastic self portrait exhibition was the major attraction, but this stunning musem is almost an art work in itself. As a wonderful contrast to the Statens Museum for Kunst, this museum's lighting was more muted and the rooms and their outside views showed off the artworks to stunning effect. The food and views from the restaurant also made a wonderful day trip from the city of Copenhagen. There is an easy train ride along the coast but a ten/fifteen minute walk from the station, so those who have difficulty in walking should beware as there was no sign of a taxi around the station when we arrived.

“A must see, if in Copenhagen for some days.”
Reviewed October 22, 2012

It takes some time to get there, as it is outside Copenhagen, but this is one of the best museums of modern art I have seen, as the surroundings are also one big art museum - for sculptures in the garden all the way down to the beach. Beware that it will take all day, but it is worth it.

“Modern Art and Sculpture inside and out.”
Reviewed October 14, 2012

the art gallery is well out of Copenhagen and worth a visit is you have the Copenhagen Card, which gets you in for free and gets you there by rail or bus.
The exhibition was a reather self indugent exhibition of self portraits and left us feeling somewhat disturbed! However the garden and sculptures helped to lift the mood and the views out to sea were wonderful.
