Very warm welcome and guided visit. Interesting tour, completing the impressions gotten after a walk through Colorado de Rustrel. Recommended.

A unique and interesting site that on our visit was let down by a really slow and poorly organised ticket procedure (make sure you book) and a rude guide - maybe it could be better on a different day and with a different guide.

It's a shame as the mines themselves are really intriguing, uniquely "cathedrale like" and great on a hot day. Do not take young kids that are likely to make the slightest noise though - you will not be made welcome - nice touch!

If you dont speak french be careful as there is only 1 english tour - @ 2-45pm.

Hello,
Thank you for your comments. At the peak of the season, which is in August, we try as much as possible to shorten the registration time of the visitors.
We offer daily tours in German, Dutch and English.
In the month of August less than 25% of the visitors speak a foreign language. When they can't reserve for a tour in their language we always offer them a writen translation of the tour that they can read beforehand. Also, depending on the language spoken by the guide we give comments in foreign languages.
Our guides are mostly appreciated for their warm welcome. When they have to guide and comment to 25 people thru the mines they sometimes have to ask the children to be silent so they can be heard. Most of the time our guides involve the children in the tour and the children come out very happy.
The direction.
