We turned up to Mas de la tour, unbooked and found them accommodating they had a lovely double room with aircon & also ensuite new and really modern and luxurious very clean the terrace on the room looks out on the stunning countryside "heaven" . The owners are down to earth and exceptional friendly ,we had evening meal and was second to none absolutely delicious the orange & honey sauce with the duck was the best I have tasted in a long time compliments to the chef ! The breakfast was outstanding also , you wanted for nothing was a full buffet of pastries, fruit. yoghurts , eggs, bread, cereals , croissants, coffee, tea, juices ect. would recommend this to anyone friends and family will love to get back there one day soon thanks again from The crowhurst's.

Room Tip: our room was just up stairs from reception highly recommend !

Mas de la Tour is nicely located in a quiet spot between Apt and Rousillon. The tower, swimming pool and inner terrace make it a scenic place. We had 2 rooms, one in the older building and one in the newer. Take the last one as it has an airco which makes a huge difference in summer and it has a more modern bathroom. Rooms are relatively small but the terraces make up for it.
We did not take diner at the Mas as there are so many good restaurants nearby, but breakfast is great and fairly priced at 10 euro. Wifi is free but unstable.
We found the hotel fairly priced, nicely located and scenic. Overall good but not great and somewhat outdated.

A lovely property in the middle of some impressive Provencal countryside. Very friendly owners. Comfortable, modern, rooms with new bathrooms, albeit a bit on the small side. Average breakfast. Both nights we stayed there we had dinner in nearby Roussillon which is a little gem.

We booked this late in our planning and needed one night with our adult children (needing 3 rooms). Our daughter found it and it looked good, so we booked it. It was even better by a lot than it looked online. We got there late in the day but were able to enjoy the pool, wine on our patio (with a view of the vineyard in the valley) and a lovely (and delicious) dinner in the beautiful courtyard. The staff was fantastic and very helpful. The rooms were nice (double rooms had the bed upstairs which was a little tricky to negotiate). The proprietor was engaging and enhances the Provence country inn experience. The breakfast was also very good (again the courtyard). We wish we had stayed longer and would highly recommend this inn. We would love to return to this place.

We had a lovely few days at this charming estate. I agree with a few reviews that maintenance is slipping but we are talking about a lot of old structures here! The rooms were excellent as far as ours went, we had a double, loft style room with a nice terrace. Lovely views of the surrounding landscape and the room was very modern with updated linens, stone work, bath facilities and lighting. For the price, this was an excellent find, very peaceful, quiet and relaxing.

The staff was very polite and friendly, always accommodating. The pool was great and many of the reasons we prefer to vacation in Europe; sans all the "rules" that come with most other establishments. I spent hours diving and playing with the children while other guests lounged, smoked, drank and were not bothered by our fun.

We loved the three dogs paroling the property day and night mostly minding their own business and the housekeeping was very efficient yet unobtrusive.

Room Tip: From what we hear, the upgraded rooms are worth it!

An excellent place to relax. Hotel surrounded by beautiful country. Lovely views. Beautifully renovated and converted, with lovely grounds. Excellent food. Very helpful staff. Would thoroughly recommend. We had a terrace room - more expensive but better. (This gave a terrace on one side and a balcony on the other, so one could always choose sun or shade). The one snag was the sloping ceiling over one side of the bed - we both bumped our heads several times. The Luberon is a lovely area - good for walking and beautiful villages nearby. The pool looked very inviting, but the weather was not hot enough for us actually to try the temperature!

Room Tip: Terrace rooms are better.

Hotel is in a nice setting, but maintenance is starting to slip. Dinner was a bit overpriced. Price of room fluctuates a lot according to demand. If it's pricey, go elsewhere. Also, if you're winetasting, avoid Chateau Blanc near Roussillon. We've tasted at about a thousand wineries in 15 countries and this was the first one to genuinely make us feel unwelcome. The older lady pouring either dislikes Anglophones, her job, life, or all three. On the other hand, wineries we visited in Menerbes were very welcoming.
