For family with young kids and handicapped visitors, This is a convenient place to view all the tropical fish in the waters around miyakojima. There are 24 floor to ceiling viewing slits to check out the colorful fish. We were fortunate D to see lion fish, rare black spotted Toby, octopus wild in the ocean and the biggest cocorut crab ever in the lobby.

You can bundle admission with tasty lunch (1800yen) or just admission to the underwater observatory (1000 yen). There is also a craft station equipped with hot glue guns to make your own souvenirs.

Parking lot is about 100 meters from the entrance, the observatory is above 100 steps down. There is a chair lift available for the physically challenged upon request.

Not much is in English, except for the name of the tropical fish down below. This is a little out of the way, but a nice rest stop if you are touring around the island.

Tickets for the underwater observatory is 1000Y for adults. It's a nice place to relax and watch different fish swim by. There are designated feeding times which is great for viewers as more fish swim by the big windows. There's a play area inside for kids with transforming fish and some interesting facts about local fish for grown-ups. Guides inside are very happy to point out and are very knowledgeable.

If you don't feel like paying, don't. The rest of the park is free to use (as far as we could tell) where you can walk around and venture through the observatory, beach, walkway, and another much taller observatory. We didn't go to the taller observatory after finding more yellow Miyako spiders... but we did find other people at that deck, so it must have been OK.

There's a nice little restaurant for snacks and maybe a simple meal onsite. The windows overlook the bay and can be quite nice as they offer air conditioning and mango ice cream.
