Sort of the same with all the sugar cane fields except for some crazy local drivers. They will drive very close to your car and attempt to pass you all the time along with honking at you. Also had to sit in traffic crossing the bridge because some guy was driving a tractor across it really slow.

You drive along the long, recently completed Irabu bridge to get here. Some good spots to visit on the island are the Makiyama observatory, shaped liked the grey-faced buzzard, the two ponds almost next to each other at Tooriiike, and finally the beach at Sawada-no-hama with all the rock jutting out of the water.

We were just stunned by the beauty of Okinawan islands and those around Miyakojima accessible by bridges were not exception.Irabu is the biggest out of the three accessible by bridge. It has some stunning views, one perfect beach for snorkelling with heaps of beautiful fish and some nice beaches.

The Sea is so blue and clear. The blue is not just one kind of blue, which mixed with green, tiffany blue, and so on. The beach is clean. We drove along the sea. The place i like most is called 渡口之濱. It is in the north west north part of the island, and near shimoji island. There is an airport on Shimoji Island. The sunset there is amazing. Not so many people there, so I can feel the silence and calm of the sea. The other day, we also went to snorkeling. Because the water is clear, so we can see the Reef and the fish easily. Really recommend to come!!
