This place is just great: renovated, friendly service, lovely rooms, trendy design, good breakfast, central location- now it's our company's first choice! I would definitely recommend both for business and tourists

Stayed a couple of nights on business in this new hotel. I stay in the area frequently, but other hotels in Herentals seem very lack-lustre, and I normally stay in Geel or Kasterlee. But the Karmel is very impressive. Located on the market square, parking is easy and there are plently of bars & restaurants nearby. My room was very big, with a microwave, fridge & small dining table. It would be possible to prepare a simple meal, or do justice to a take-away. There is a small gym, and a tiny swimming pool. The breakfast was excellent, with loads of fresh produce, different types of breads, and a big selection of cooked options. Its not the cheapest place in the area, but it is certainly worth a second visit.

This hotel is the new addition in the Herentals hotel scene and it was really needed, The best thing about it is location as it is just on the center road closed to restaurants and bars and also with easy parking. the rooms are spacious for Herentals and are equiped with all modern amenities .The minimalism inside the rooms makes them a bit cold as they have a lot of black and grey coloured items inside. The bathroom was cold as the a/c heating is not getting easily to all places. The breakfast on the other side was more than enough and well served from a kind lady at the old convention nannery. There is also a nice spa area unexpected for such an old building.the corridors of the hotel are very long & narrow as they were the original ones so have a luggage with wheels. Overall if you have to stay in Herentals this is the best hotel

Room Tip: For Thursday nights staying dont prefer the front rooms as they are noisy due to the farmers market.

Wonderful hotel, a real find, staff is very personal, attentive. Quiet rooms (except maybe front, giving out to old town square, but this being a hotel in Flanders, people are considerate at night). Wooden floors throughout, so excellent for people with dust allergies. Clean. Copious breakfast, small gym with sauna and indoor swimming pool, relaxing garden and courtyard. The setting (former carmelite convent) adds to the relaxing atmosphere. The restoration of the convent is tastefully done. Nice cafe/bar.

Would be worth considering even if you have business in Antwerp; only a short train ride away (and trains are cheap). Even Brussels is only 50 min. away by train.

Room Tip: If you want to be quiet for sure, take a room in the back or courtyard. In the back, you may be woken up by occasional trains that start running around 5:30am. If you're for size, looks like the front rooms are the largest. In general, rooms are above-average size.
