“Fast Greens”
Reviewed March 15, 2012

I played the course today. The greens are running 11 or 12. Very fast. It is a very nice course.
The 18th hole, is an island green. Make sure, you drive the ball well on the 18th, so you can get on the green in 2 .

“Great service, course was average.”
Reviewed February 4, 2012

Beautiful facilities and a great crew that works hard to accommodate you. The course was a little disappointing. I have a 8 handicap and I thought the gold course was not very challenging or interesting. The 18th hole is a good hole but to only have one memorable hole is a little disappointing.

“A muni dressed up as a resort course”
Reviewed January 30, 2011

Blah, ordinary, overpriced. Slow greens. Good for high handicapper. Doral staffers are top notch, seriously great service.

“Beautiful Facility, But . . . .”
Reviewed March 10, 2005

I visited here in July 2004 on a trip to Miami. I came here primarily because I got a deal and for the tennis. This is a beautiful facility with a terrific staff. We met a lady who is on the staff and hails from Columbia--she was delightful. The room was nice, but bathroom was small. However, I was not bowled over by the tennis courts as they sloped excessively downward. So depending on which side of the court you were on, it felt like you were either hitting uphill or downhill. Also, everything here was super expensive, including the spa. I had the standard breakfast buffet one morning and that was about $25 (excluding taxes and tips). You are better off buying your water and fruits at a local store and go off site for your meals. If I had to choose between Doral and another resort without tennis courts, Doral would win. If the price was right, I would definetly go back to Doral.
