We stayed here for a quick getaway (2 nights) and just loved every second of it. Besides the great accommodations, the view, the personal touches, the location, the staff, Galileu, etc the wines and champagne offered in the room are at retail price!
Highly recommend:
- dinner at Villa Rústica!
- visiting the alambique Casa Bucco
- Famiglia Tasca (no wine, just juice, but lots of history)

Next week we are going there for the 5th time! I reckon going back to a place those many times already tells something about it. You can choose from a room to a house of your own. Casa Paterna and Casa das Ervilhas are our favorites. There are 3 houses and 4 rooms available, each with a different decoration, but all with a great view from the valley. The Tuscany-like scenery is complemented by the very affordable local red and sparkling wine you will find in both rooms and houses. The houses are equipped with all the basics, so you can even cook your own pasta there or make your own coffee.
Rubens, the owner, is a gentleman and will help you with whatever you need...but once you're there you'll feel like you don't need much. Just grab a chair, some cheese, salami and wine and enjoy the quietness and beauty of the place.

Wow, this place is great. There are four or five separate stone houses that sit on the top of a bluff overlooking the valley below. Great views from the terrace that is available for all guests. We had a DIY dinner there on our last night - wine, cheese, bread, olives, and some cookies. Some buildings are rented as a house, and others just have bedroom and bathroom. We stayed in the Belvedere Suite, an airy space with a nifty mix of old world and contemporary decor. Our bathroom sink sat in a wine barrel. The room had two sets of French doors through which you could see for miles. Comfortable beds, A/C, almost no noise. Very nice stay. But you have to pay for it.
