I spend the summer doing mountain bike touring, all over the world. Skiing was always something to do while I waited for the snow to melt. I have also skied all over North America, but Murdochville has become a true pioneering adventure destination. Guillaume and his partner had an idea, they went to a dying town with great outdoor potential and planted their flag and made a go. In western Canada we would have said "giv-er" and they did.
This place is magical, come and make it make this place a world class destination, the hosts are doing everything to make this place a Destination, carving some awesome cuts for back country skiing, resurrecting and carving an amazing mountain, getting some darned fine cooks to serve the best "ski camp" food I have ever had..
Just get over yourselves Chic Chac really does have the best in the east, get your "skis" to an amazing destination...

Room Tip: If you come with a couple of buddies, stay in the Lodge, if Family and "intimate" needed, ask for one of their 10 3 bedroom homes

I have been going to Chic-Chac religiously for the past 5 seasons at a frequency of 3 to 6 times per season, so I have seen the evolution of this Diamond in the Ruff so to speak! It s a modest Operation Catering to Skiers, Riders and Backcountry Enthousiasts. The bottom line is Whatever your fancy, Chic-Chac can make it happen...from straight up touring, snowmobile insertion, Cat-Skiing, and Heli-Skiing at unbeatable prices! No Bells, No Whistles, No Bull...Just Good times and laid back Fun!!
The Food is phenomenal, you will not go hungry here and you will find all the comforts of home. Spend your day riding the best terrain offered in the East, and wind down at the Chac when the day is done, in the Hot tub or watching the days video highlights in the living room. The staff are friendly and will feel like extended family, as will other guests because of the Unique Vibe this place has!!

We luv our trip.....here why!!!!!

The terrain and powder is first rate. The guides can amp up the steepness and challenges depending on the abilities and desires of the group. We began with easy terrain, then transitioned to some really sweet glade runs and then back to a mix of alpine and forested terrain as the day progressed. The guides did a fantastic job in keeping the group together, locating great snow and challenging us with some incredible terrain.

We did not stay at the lodge we stay at house near by,so I can't comment on that, but i know they party to the early hour of the morning if your up to it. They take care of lunch all the time.

Room Tip: tell them you will be there with your mate....
