Excellent hotel to stay at in Sorong. Room was excellent and breakfast buffet was included in price which was quite reasonable. We also ate at the buffet for dinner, very good and also quite reasonable. Left for a live aboard dive trip from there, excellent way to start trip

this hotel is very basic. The food is average.
We only had breakfast on the rooftop ,filing our belly , because we had a 3 hour boat trip, ahead
to The Paradise Eco Diving Resort. We don't know about the rooms , because we did not stay overnight.
Staff are very friendly and helpful.

We booked Swiss-Bel for a 1 night stay in Sorong after diving Raja Ampat for 2 weeks. We just wanted somewhere comfy and central before our flight the next day. We got this. However, the bathroom in the room was actually quite dirty. The grouting definitely needed re-doing. The dinner (BBQ) and breakfast was average and the beer was extremely over priced!!
My partner wanted a massage and was looking forward to one at the hotel as they advertise a spa. There was no spa according to reception staff (who grudgingly offered a massage in the room instead).
Disappointed with our stay here.

This is by far the worst experience while staying in the hotels. After a long duration of flights, transit, business site visit and almost not sleeping at all for the whole night, I expected to get a smooth check-in in the afternoon. The first impression, the lobby, was good. I went to a friendly receptionist and been told that I could wait for a short moment since they checked and prepared my room. However, it took almost half an hour before they invited me to receive card for my room. That was OK. But what happened when I entered my room made me furious. The floor in the room was still wet. There was ants on table and sign of gekko close to bed. Maintenance was bad since there are so many mini damage in furniture and moss all over bathroom. I immediately asked for another which they, once again, need to prepare first. And unfortunately, again I need to wait for more than half an hour until I felt asleep in the lobby room. Furthermore, breakfast was ok, but the coffee was very bad and sooo diluted. The only good surprise was sweet mango on fruit tray.

Since Sorong is the port to the most renowned holiday destination, Raja Ampat, I think Swiss-Hotel Sorong management needs to improve a lot to give a better service, not just a friendly staff and a good smile. And for sure, to live up Swiss-Belhotel brand. The only reason why I didn't move out is just because there is almost no other choice in Sorong

We slept overnight in Sorong after two weeks of scuba diving before beginning our long yourney back to Sweden.
Swiss-Belhotel Sorong has a good location pretty close to the airport. Modern. Large somewhat sterile lobby area. Efficient check-in and check-out.
The rooms are perfectly fine, good and comfortable beds, somewhat small and cramped bathroom. Minibar, in-room safe, coffemaking facilities. Soundproofed windows, so you do not hear anything at all from airplanes taking off and landing.
Free wifi within the whole hotel.
Small and clean pool. Decent fitness centre.
Good breakfast buffet with a manned egg station.
