I stayed here as a stop-over on the way to the South of France, in desperation on a miserable wet evening. As a single traveller I often have to pay over the odds as there are very few single rooms in cheaper end hotels. This was no exception, there did not appear to be any other bookings and I was initially offered a room without en-suite facilities as the cheapest option. (there was no indication on the price list outside that that was the case) When I declined that I was offered a double room with en-suite at a slightly reduced price, which I took.
The room was small and very basic although reasonably clean, tiny wc, separate shower and wash room with sliding door, not easy to close. Decoration old fashioned, no style, no wardrobe only a small hanging unit incorporating a mirror. The bed was comfortable. The corridors approaching the room had the public bathrooms off them, from which an unpleasant odour of cheap disinfectant made an unwelcoming presence.
The breakfast room was very odd and looked as though it had been a bar at some stage. Breakfast was self service (including coffee) and very basic, apart from a nice local yoghurt.
No private parking, I had to park on the street outside halfway up pavements.
Not good value, expensive for what you get and surely not 2 star accommodation.More
