This hotel in a beautifully and very tastefully renovated old courtyard house was the nicest place we stayed on our 2-week-trip in Iran. There's only 9 rooms that are all placed on two floors around a traditional courtyard with water basin and some greenery. Rooms, bathroom and all the public spaces in the hotel are spotlessly clean. There are no unneccesary luxuries but thanks to the beautiful room, the really tastefull furniture and the laid-back, calm atmosphere in the courtyard the Manouchehri house has a very premium-like feeling to it. Both diner and breakfast have a limited selection of very good menues. Service and reception are correct and helpfull but didn't have the warm hospitable welcoming we felt in other Iranian accomodations. All our requests were met professionally though and our ordered taxi was on time and at a fair rate. The small store also has a very nice small selection of traditional and modern designs and is perfect for those who are tired of searching the cheap bazaar goods for a peace of true craftsmanship. The interior dining room is maybe the least charming of the spaces in the hotel but if temperature allows you would anyway want to have your meals outside in the wonderfull courtyard. Manouchehri house is definitely recommandable and at the present Rial rate great value for price. We would stay there again anytime we're in Kashan.

Room Tip: We had Room No.2 and were told it was the nicest one in house. We enjoyed it very much.

Excellently and beautifully renovated old building/mansion with different (in size and stile) nicely decorated rooms. Very well and tastefully done bathrooms, too. The hotel and restaurant service as well as the restaurant are good but do not quite meet the standards of the house/building and the rooms. Surprisingly little English spoken.

Manouchehri house must be the best traditional house existing by the time in kashan . I saw some old pictures of this house before renovating and I must say they have done a real good job .I wouldn't say it's a luxury but you feel comfortable like being in your home .

Rooms are clean and cozy , bath in my room was very big , with a corridor between room and bath .

Rooms have everything from minibar , fan or even sun lotion which is not typical for Iranian hotels . Only there is no tv in the rooms which is better . You can enjoy the light music playing in courtyard , drinking tea or coffee in the courtyard .

Restaurant is ok , menu is limited but the food is ok , it is better to choose chicken kebab or Bakhtiari and eggplant .also they have good yogurt . prices are very cheap too .

Only it could be a little tricky to find the house as it is located somewhere between narrow alleys of kashan . But if you have a car or not a big luggage to carry there is no problem .

I did not stay there because I knew that it was open only the day I was leaving Kashan. However, I visit it for an hour or so and spent sometime roaming around the various rooms. The renovation of this old house looks very well done and very tasteful, rooms are very cozy, furniture are of a good quality and most of them seams to be tailor made for the place. I did not try the restaurant however, it looks clean and nice. The shop is nice too, it has a good choice of high quality and reasonable price handicraft from various various part of Iran. The staff was very helpful guiding me around the hotel and providing detailed explanations, some of them speak good English. Next time in Kashan will stay there.

This house has been renovated with a lot of love, attention to detail and money. The cost of the accommodation is very good for what it offers. The hotel is an old traditional house with a gorgeous courtyard with pond in the ...it is a very magical place, in particular at night. The staff has been very helpful in organising everything we needed...drivers, tour guides, food for baby,...and even asked about how to improve their hotel based on our experience in the West of hotels. Only two downsides, the hotel is situated in a maze of little side-streets (all part of the same property), so that venturing out on your own can be scary to find your way back and dinner menu is limited to 4 or 5 dishes, so that once you pick a couple of dishes you like it is limiting if you want to keep eating there every night. There is a gift shop (surpringly not the tourist trap I expected, the objects in it were tasteful and reasonably priced) in the hotel as well as a carpet weaving workshop demonstration place, so for such few guest rooms it is quite an amazing place in which to stay, as it offers a lot. The room for my husband, myself and our little daughter was very large, clean, beautifully appointed and tastefully decorated. I would stay there again without hesitation...but I would suggest having a driver and going out in the evening. Not recommended for people with knee or back problems as there are many stairs with steps that are very high, as is the tradition in old houses in Kashan. Recommended for people who value the past and love art, architecture and style.
