This is my second favorite hotel we stayed in Iran. Love their garden, and their friendly staffs speak the best English along the trip. A friend of mine and I took dorm again this time, they put us into a triple room. One of our friend had an unpleasant incident in front of the hotel, the female staff - witness the whole thing on monitor - ran out super duper fast and caught the kid. She called the kid's parents and police for us as well.

Your experience might be related to the room you choose. When we booked, the only free room was the VIP room, what was our luck, because it is amazingly beautiful. Speaking of beautiful, the staff is not only beautiful but also very nice, funny and helpful. They make you feel welcome and help you in every way they can.
As mentioned the courtyard is also a very nice to hang out.

Room tip: take the VIP-room if you can afford it, you will remember it

this hostel is established in an old and historical house that is renewed but not for a hotel or hostel .the house is beautiful but you can find many of very more beautiful historical houses and hotels in Kashan.
the biggest problem in this hostel is that you can't sleep or relax up to 1 or 2 am because rooms are around the yard and all have very thin doors and windows and the owners made their restaurant in the yard . people from outside and inside hostel come to restaurant and when they start talking together it's like they are all in your room and this make you really crazy ,specially after a long and tiresome day.
the breakfast is very simple like other things here and because of these , 40 USD for a twin bedroom (I think they don't have double room here an it's another negative thing) in this hostel according to Iran hotels mid range is hi.

The Ehsan gusthouse is really nice. The rooms are spacious and beautifully restored. The pictures that people have posted don't really do it justice for how nice the rooms really are and the setting around the courtyard is spectacular. The town of Kashan probably only has one day worth of sights to see, but it would be worth staying longer just to enjoy being in the Ehsan guesthouse. The only catch was a squat toilet, but the bathrooms were perfectly clean and everything else about the place was great.

The Ehsan Guest House is really picturesque and peaceful. The rooms are around an open courtyard with an ornamental pool which was decorated for the Persian new year when we were there. Breakfast and dinner was served in the open - both very good (scrummy meatballs and very nice turkish coffee).
Although it is a converted old traditional house the individual rooms are new with modern facilities.
The staff were helpful and friendly.
I was disappointed that we only stayed one night.

Room tip: All the rooms our group had were good but beware there are a lot of steps and some are quite large.
