As one of the very few, Jungle Edie is a CERTIFIED jungle guide.
His knowledge is amazing, and it is so much fun with him and his crew to trek through the jungle.

We did a 4 day adventure trip and saw many animals. The longer the trip takes, the higher is the chance to get to see truely wild orang utans.
The whole crew is so friendly and their food is delicious.
Nothing at all to complain. Just get some comfy sleeping bags, as the jungle ground is quite hard.

Otherwise I cannot wait to do such a trip again.
Jungle Edie is very much aware of the importance of the environment and he also plants trees where the forest was cut down.

Support this action and you will get the best trip of your life!

Just back in the states after a fabulous trip to Indonesia. Bukit Lawang and jungle trekking was the highlight of our trip. Jungle Edie was an awesome lead guide and his assistant Tono was super sweet. We saw alot of orangutans, monkeys and many other interesting flora and fauna. The jungle is gorgeous and the trekking is a real adventure!! Jungle Edie is full of fun and laughs and takes care of you from your arrival to your departure. He is also dedicated to doing the right thing for the jungle and the animals and keeping them wild and free, this means never feeding them. I highly recommend him.
Although the trekking is a good work out, you are spoiled by amazing and delicious food, thanks to Henrik. You don't even need to carry your own food. Our campsite was gorgeous, with a beautiful little waterfall to swim in. And we stayed dry despite a big rain storm overnight. We did a two night stay in jungle and then rafted back 3rd morning. Wish I was still in bukit Lawang :( Only advice I have for those going to trek in BL is better to have a thermarest if possible.

Jungle Edie was recommended to us by another Dutch couple and we didn't regret taking the jungle trekking from Edies company. While there are dozens of guides in Bukit Lawang, the prices and programs are most likely the same.

We did a two day / one night trekking at Edies and had the best time. Edie and his porter Rainbow are friendly, full of fun, and know a lot of all flora and fauna in the jungle. Loads of are included so that you're completely stuffed while walking. At the jungle camp you can have some rest, some drinks/foods, and you can play some very funny local card games.

I higly recommend Edies!

I did a one day tour with Jungle Edie and I can say it was GREAT!
He and his staff did all their best for us to see Oran Utan. We started at 9 and had the first contact to monkeys at 9. At 10 we saw the first 2 Orang Utan. Mother and child! It was amazing!!!
Then after lunch break, wich was fried rice and fruits afterwards, we had 2 more Orang Utan and at the end of our tour we saw a Komodo waran!!
The way back was a wild water rafting tour. About 15 minutes cooling in the water of the clear river! Much fun!

Thank you Edie for this amazing adventure!
