“Jungle Edie is the king of the jungle - best jungle tour ever!”
Reviewed September 25, 2012

Jungle Edie is one of the Sumatran guys who provide tours through the jungle around Bukit Lawang.

Bukit Lawang is a beautiful authentic village, only separated from the jungle by a gorgeous wild river. When you take a tour through the jungle, you can sleep in the village, where they have a lot of guesthouses, all with river view.

Tours are from 1 to 7 days and the tour guides provide you with food, water en a place to sleep. Tours start at the village, from where you just walk into the jungle. At night the tour guides set up a camp, complete with tea, cookies, a bonfire and some brainteasing games to get you through the night.

During the tour you can see a lot of wild animals, like oerang oetangs and other monkeys.
It was one of my most memorable activities in Indonesia and I would definitely recommend other backpackers to go there!

So have fun and cheers,

Tara (from The Netherlands)
