The Schloss is very pretty and the gardens are wonderful. The 2.6 Km walk to Falkenlust is worth it. Don't miss visiting the center of Bruhl. Many little shops and places to grab a bite.

The resemblence to Château de Versailles is remarkable. The interior is amazing; however, if you don't speak German, you miss out on lots of information. The tours are in German and you are given an english audio device that it is brief in detail. Buy both tickes to Augustusburgh and Falkenlust and you'll save money. Take the 1.5 mile stroll through some beautiful greens and gardens to Falkenlust. It is worth it.

Excellent and cheap (UK attractions take note!!!) A short distance from Phantasialand with some lovely walks.

Beautiful and historically important. Sort of a drag that you must be on a tour and can't wander as you can in some other palaces around Europe. But totally worth it anyway!

If you take the train, go to the Bruhl train station, NOT Bruhl-Mitte. You literally cross the street to the schloss from the Bruhl Hauptbahnhof. Pictures are not allowed inside and you must wait (maybe 10 minutes) to go on a guided tour. The tour is in German, so it was well worth paying for the audio guide in English (only 1 euro). You listen to the audio guide as the guide is speaking in German, but I didn't find it to be an issue. Beautiful rooms and impressive staircase and frescoes. Definitely stop by the hunting lodge Falkenlust while you are there (get the combi ticket)- a 25-30 minute walk through the schloss gardens. The Chinese Cabinet and Mirror Cabinets (Mozart was here!) alone are worth the walk! Again, worth getting the audio guide in English, although no guided tour here. Have lockers for big bags in both locations.
