Visited for 8 days to find tigers. Basic but comfortable rooms, delicious food, excellent service and invaluable information about the area, tigers and park. Currently sat in the lemon grove with fresh lemon water on the wifi internet waiting to go back into the park.

The number one reason to stay at Satyendra and Kay's camp is their absolute love and devotion for tigers. My family (which included a four year old girl) was astounded to learn so much about the animals, their habits, the way they are tracked and the societal implications of the tigers in India (not to mention the pure bliss of following a tigress and her three cubs from elephant back through the jungle). Our visit later on to Ranthambore only further emphasised the superiority of our safaris with Skay's camp. As for the accommodation and meals, my daughter was enchanted by Kay and her cats, the swings and the gardens where she was free to romp. The rooms are basic, but clean and spacious. We visited during a cold snap (hoarfrost in the jungle!) and we were grateful for the care taken to keep us comfortable, including the much appreciated hot water bottles!

If you are planning a visit to Bandhavgarh,I would ask you to seriously consider Skay's Camp. Located in Tala village, on the fringes of the Bandhavgarh National Park,it is a few minutes drive from the Tala Gate. The camp is a cluster of rooms set in a verdant garden covered with fruit-bearing trees. The rooms are basic, but comfortable and clean. The food is wholesome and often the fruits from the garden find their way to your plate. The hospitality of Kay and Satyendra Tiwari, who own and run the place, is unmatched. They go out of their way to make you feel at home. Also, their in-depth knowledge of the park and the tigers leaves you spell bound. A stay with them takes you beyond the regular safari experience to a real appreciation of the forest, it's occupants and especially, it's tigers. Whether it is breakfast in the garden bathed in winter sunlight or dinner at the gazebo huddled around the fire, the Tiwaris weave their magic around you.
This is our second time at Skay's Camp. We went to Bandhavgarh initially to 'see' tigers but fell in love with it, thanks in no small measure to the Tiwaris. And when we leave Skay's Camp, it is always with a promise to return!

We stayed at Skay's Camp in November for two nights and had four safaris with Kay and Satyendra. It was absolutely fantastic. We felt so welcome and were taken care of wonderfully. The rooms are basic, but very functional and clean and suited to the environment that you are in. The food was lovely. The best part was the knowledge that Kay and Satyendra have about the area and the tigers, so having them on the safaris was the best part. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a great safari experience in India! We were also lucky and saw one tiger!

I and my family (wife & daughter) stayed at Skay's Camp for 3 nights. It was a wonderful experience. Satyendra and Kay went out of their way in making our stay memorable and fantastic. The rooms are basic but spacious and very clean. The camp is very beautiful with a great butterfly garden - we saw 2 magnificent butterflies hatch in his garden. It was a great experience for my daughter. Satyendra knows the forest quite well and helped us with the safari booking and also accompanied on 2 of the trips. With him you learn that there is much more to the forest than just Tigers, which indeed are the most magnificent creatures but with Satyendra and Kay you learn to appreciate the forest itself. While you are in the camp, both Satyendra and Kay would keep you enchanted with their numerous stories on the forest and their adventure - it's fun. On my daughter's request they went out of their way and arranged for a tent on their rooftop and my daughter wanted to sleep under the stars. Also Kay spent lot of time with my daughter and she really enjoyed her visit. While you are at the camp you can be assured of personal attention and lots of stories and loads of fun.
