except the greenery outside the hotel, every other service is not justified in that amount. its not equivalaent to a 3 start hotel at all. I stayed there fro two nights with my wife..rooms are very normal ones, food is okay and services are very bad.

Beleive me this is the most terrible hotel i have in ever in my life. The hotel is suitated far away from the city, the arcitecture is scary, the furnitureis very old,the looks are poor, the food id [--] and below the levels that human beings can have....

I booked this hotel for my bro,who went out with his newly wed wife and a friend couple accoumping the...The first night they felt so scary that waked up whole night and keep calling each other to know about well being of other couple...and the second day the situations got so worsen that they had to hide up their all valuables at secret places and line themselves in one room and slept on floor all together to bare the night's scare.

can you imagine the level of the hotel....????where inspite of leisure, for which one spends money and time...gets such a level of anxiety and dreadful holiday....

The food was so third class that they literaly saw insects floating in coffee and vegetables. The other things one can imagine..

The hotel rooms are very very very badly maintained.the roof's are made of wooden craft and sounds so horrible when ever a person on second floor walks on them.simmilar to sound we normally hear in some horror movie..

Staying at this hotel made the taste of their trip sour and had left a bad essence in oall of ours life.

We really paray taht they all returned safely home back after staying in such a dreadful place.

Thanks,
Navi

We love place and hotel Chevron Rosemount service.

In Ranikhet we enjoy our time at Golf ground, Big Garden, Lots of bells mundir and relax at hotel...

We enjoy our 2 days time. We like Ranikhet location more than Kasauli because of good town, clean hotel, golf ground and many more...

Happy to stay again ...

It is sad how people abuse the environment in the name of selling eco friendly stuff. Chevvron in Ranikhet - though among the best three hotels in Kausani - is definitely not as great as it sells itaself or as good as people have often made it out in their reviews. Not the best of locations for a view either. Overgrown grass and weed and ill-maintained garden! You can see dust coat over most furniture. There is a serious monkey menace here in the mornings, more than in other hotels, and I even saw them drinking from the overhead water tanks that supply water to the rooms. Perhaps Chevron hasn't heard of a low-tech thing called locks.
Nice combo of mud walls and wooden floor may entice you initially, but it is a hotbed for insects of all kind, from spiders to mosquitoes to cockroaches to other creepy crawlies in your bed. No Internet or phone signal! Very poor lighting in the room. Just one set of carrom, ludo-snake ladder and badminton rackets for you to use! Bathroom maintenance too is not great considering the money you pay for the hotel.
Above all, food can smell and taste awful and takes painfully long to be delivered if there are more than three-four families staying at the same time. Besides the eating area is too small and being almost in the open, it means during the inclement weather or rough, or during chilly windy nights, dinners can seem like a punishment. Nice, cooperative staff though.
But on the whole, highly overpriced and overrated! I was clearly disappointed and would prefer Krishna, or even try Sun & Snow instead next time.

We were on the Kumaon trail, and our path lead from Nainital to Ranikhet, located about 60 km away. It is a quieter place compared to Nainital and ideally suited for those in search of a peaceful haven away from the crowds.

The Chevron Rosemount is one of the top end places where you can enjoy your stay in Ranikhet. It is located centrally with easy access to the local attractions - Chaubatia Orchards, Jhula Devi Temple & the Mall.

The rooms are spacious with a colonial air. The view from the hotel of the lush green scenary is simply breathtaking. One can spend hours sitting at the balcony and taking in the fresh air fragrant with the smell of the pine woods.

You can also go for a quiet walk on the hilly trails savouring the beauty of the nature.

Service is a little slow, compared to the city standards but the food is simply delicious. The staff are also very cordial and will always greet you with a smile.

For the shoppers, there is a surprise waiting at the local Mall road marketplace - you are certain to strike a better bargain on woolens, saris & dresses as compared to Nainital. So dont go on a spending spree in Nainital and save something for Ranikhet also!
