excellent trekking, views of apple trees and a shop to taste and buy apple juices, jams, squashes, organic products and much more. Good experience.

Avoid the guides, go alone - through the exit point as it saves you a steep climb. Instead you are descending, which is a lot easier.

Chaubitiya Garden is a must visit place in Ranikhet.

It is basically a government operated apple orchard spread over a very large area but u only touch the tip of the garden.

One should take a Guide whose rates are fixed to explore the gardens to be able to appreciate the plant varieties in the garden and to maintain your interest.

The path is little bit up and down so you should have your sports shoes and since it is apple garden and here weather can be also a little bit unpredictable.

It is a place which will take around 45min to cover and your guide may insist on you to buy juices, herbs etc at the end of your visit which I found useless

1. It is a government garden that boasts of being largest hill garden in Asia.
2. With the help of guide, you can identify many local trees and medicinal herbs. And he can insist you to buy it outside.
3. Its very large and divided in many parts. We took the jungle trail in which we could feel like venturing into the jungle.
4. Guide told us that leopards could be seen in the wee hours of the morning and evening but we were not lucky enough.
5. Orchard has many varieties of apple, fig, cherry, plum, peach, walnut which could be identified.
6. It is far from the city but since there is nothing to do in the city itself so you could go to this place.
