We stayed in this hotel for a night on 1st May during a visit to Sai Baba temple. The check in was smooth and the lobby was spacious. The rooms were neat and clean like any good star hotel. The restaurant served a vegetarian buffet which was ok. The staff was courteous and helpful. The pool was a big letdown, but there was a lot of space to walk and the view from the room was good.

This hotel is great. It is like a 5 star and the price is a bit more but still it should be worth it.The restaurant was amazing and the food was great including all dishes that are available in big cities.

It was unbelievable to see a hotel like this at a pilgrimage place in Shirdi. I would give a 5 star to this hotel. Rooms were clean. the hotel even has a Health club with swimming pool and 2 restaurants.
The service is wonderful. I highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night in April 09. I suppose all visitors to this city come to visit primarily for the holy shrine, and stay for just night.

This hotel is the highest rated hotel in the city (3 or 4 star) and has the largest number of rooms. Many visitors to the city do not care about stay comforts since the overiding preoccupation of the mind is search of the divine intervention in their lives. But there are many who want to mix it with a comfortable stay too...more so for their kids who have to be papmered as a compromise for 2-3 hours of long stay in the queue for shrine visit. They stay at such hotels. I was one such.

However the hotel must be begging for renovation for years. It looks as a hotel of the early 90's, like the old Holiday Inns. Large rooms....but old furniture, linens, upholsteries. Towels look suspect. Setting not suited for family of 3-4 members. I had taken a suite which had a bed room and a living room. The one king bed was small. For the kids it was mattress on the floor (they did not have trolley type beds). I would have been better off taking two standard rooms than a suit (atleast there would have been two large beds). Dont mistake old furniture with öld World Charm". Charm is missing.

The a/c control units were not functional...so one had to live with just one constant temperature and fan speed.

The hotel leaflet said two restaurants (one buffet and one multicuisine). However the two were merged as one restaurant...as one large hall and one could'nt differentiate.

The pool and the lawn is fine though. The best thing I liked about the hotel is its SPA...slight expensive but worth it. There is a water theme park right behind the hotel site. We didnt visit this place but it appeared to have some good rides and pools.

The hotel is continuing to see its cash register ring...perhaps due to first time visitors like us, and perhaps due to limited competition. I paid INR 11,200 ($250) including taxes, extrra bed and breakfast for all. May be I paid higher amount as I booked just the previous night and the day of visit was particulary a heavy busy period. One buffet meal (L/D) costs INR 325 for adults and INR 225 for kids.

And the managemenmt need to do something about the approach road...after taking the turn from the highway the road was was all broken and full of potholes.

The Hotel is sitting on its past glory...but if one new hotel of similar category comes in...the owners of Sun-n-Sand will have to wake up. Not a great value for money proposition for its name...but presently very limited choice if you wish to stay at national branded hotels. I will try the other one next time which is in the same category (Shraddha Inn).

A very good place to visit. this is the heavenly abode of Sri Sri Saibaba. one of the spiritual locations of India. It is worth visiting this place once every year. The location and atmosphere of the hotel Sun-n-Sand is amazing. i enclose herewith photo of this hotel. One single interesting fact of this place - this town is absolutely free of non-veg foods which i liked very much.

We just returned from this hotel, defiantly not a 5 star hotel as the web site claims. We confronted the manager about it and he became very upset. Maybe a 2-3 star, but one of the better hotels in the area. .
