“Hotel Saikrupa Shirdi - Peaceful Stay , Nourishing both Body and Soul”
Reviewed March 28, 2011

Hotel Saikrupa is located very close to the Sai Temple. You can therefore wake up to the lovely sound of the morning aarthi and be immersed in the serenity of the hymns. The night aarthi can also be heard in the Hotel and this makes it a wonderful experience for the devotees who stay here.

The rooms are painted with fresh tranquail colors and the bathrooms are neatly maintained. A small inconvenience is the lack of availability of hot water all through the day (it is only available for 2-3 hours in the morning).

The food served at Hotel Saikrupa is just wonderful. The preparations are extremely pleasing to the palette and very well prepared. Do order the "Sabudana Khichidi" (which is prepared at the owner's residence on request), which is a speciality in this region.

Overall, there are three things that makes "Hotel Saikrupa" the BEST PLACE to stay in Shirdi :
1. Its proximity to the Sai Temple (just a two minutes walk from the Hotel)
2. The nourishing and wonderful food.
3. Budget friendly

The pictures look like a newly done up place with basic and clean room and amenities. However, as you enter the town of Shirdi you are overwhelmed with the crowd and dust, and as you approach the hotel you may not be put to rest.

It has a small reception area on entrance and beyond that is a long corridor. This is the floor plan on all floor. Long corridors flanked by rooms.

The room is good to look at, but the finishing of a newly done room is not good. I think it is a problem in the Nashik-Shirdi circle. The Loo is clean to look at, but once inside you would notice how the back of the door, buckets, WC are not entirely clean, even though they might have been cleant. Basically lack of attention to full cleanliness.

The room was quite well space for 3 beds, However, we went out for a while and on our return were little cockroaches everywhere.! But they thankfully went back into their nooks once we were in.

The restaurant looked damp and dull, highly avoidable.

Thankfully our stay was only for a day. For Rs. 1500 this was not at all a clean and basic deal. But I am not sure if other hotels may have better standards.

Dear Hotel Saikrupa Shirdi customer,

I appreciate your detailed description of the review, explicit points like this is really most welcome for improvements.

We will take all constructive criticism very serisouly, and I totally agree that there's always a room for improvement.

Here're some actions taken:

1) Water softening: The water in Shirdi is one of the hardest and hence the linen is not cleaned or even if cleaned, doesn't look clean. All taps and bathroom accessories look dull and dusted due to mineral layers. So, we've invested in German Technology (worth more than a Lac of Rupees) to soften the water. We're getting good results. We really apologise for the inconvinience caused to you.

2) Pest Control: It is again a perinial problem in the village, we've contracted a city based (Nasik based) pest control company. We hope to see better results in a span of a month. We really apologise for the inconvinience caused to you.

3) Dirt in rooms: Since last 8 months, long-term cement road construction is going on all over Shirdi town. It is really frustrating to keep cleaning the corridors, reception/waiting and the rooms. We're hopeful that it will all end in few months' time. We really apologise for the inconvinience caused to all our guests and Sai Baba devotees.

4) Service @ hotel: The service is most important aspect of our hotel. I must agree that we still have room for improvement and we will take serious steps to see immediate improvements.

5) Hot Water: Yes, there's a time limit to hot water availibility due to two constraints - water availibility in Shirdi and cost management. We do provide 24 hours hot water in winter season. Management is considering to implement solar water heating solution to provide 24 hours foe 365 days/year.

6) English speaking service desk: Shirdi is a small town altough it is seen as commercially advanced. We have a serious issue (actually all the hotels) on man-power and especially professional man-power. We are committed to improve the professional look despite scarcity, facing issues like city-based work force do not want to relocate to Shirdi. We're engaging a part time teacher to teach English to our staff.

I hope, above information is satisfactory to you and to all of our customers. Please do continue to give us fair and first-hand factual feedbacks for our improvements. Hotel Management appreciates your time and effort for doing so.

Warm regards,
Amol and Anand Kotasthane

I booked this hotel after I read all the good reviews in tripadvisor.

I booked this hotel through their website and I talked to Mr.Amol lot of time
through phone and confirmed my booking.I booked the triple bedroom room.
When i checked with the receptionist and inquired about my booking , he said that
there is no triple bedroom is available , So take two double bedroom , finally Mr. Amol came in
and the problem was solved.

As given in the all reviews here , i don't say this hotel is very good. I list out the advantages and disadvantages over here.

Advantages.

1. Mr. Amol , MD of this hotel , only he can speak in English , so lot of time
I called him and he helped.

2. They are having three vehicles of their own for travel which seems to be in reasonable rate , I used their vehicle for two days.

3. This hotel is near to temple. you can just walk for a minutes to reach the temple.

Disadvantages

1. Bedsheets , extra bed is given were very worst [ see my photoes ] . I asked them to
change , but still get the same.

2. Hot water for bath , only in the morning , it is not 24 hours.

3. I went with my mother , She needs hot water to drink , when I asked in the hotel , they didn't give initially , then I paid rs. 6 for a bottle of water. I paid rs. 12 to get extra water.
this is the first time i paying for a hot water in a hotel.

It was very near to the temple which was one of the positive points. Mr. Amol, MD of the hotel had rendered us wonderful service in person, beyond our expectations. The staffs were very helpful. We would stay again in this hotel on our next trip.

Its been a while, we get to write reviews, reviews mean good review....Sai Krupa has made icing on the cake for us for my Sirdi trip with my Spouse and Kid. Staff has been highly cooperative and we have been taken care off very well. Restaurant food is very tasty and feels like home made..please keep the same tase in future and do not comporomise on quality, as I have started refering your hotel on my experience.

Hats off to Joshi & Gaikwad who handle day to day operations very well and smoothly. Hoping to visit Shirdi and made a point to stay in this same hotel.

Regards,
Ritesh

Good place to stay for a short overnight visit to Shirdi town. Plus point is that the Hotel is very near to the temple and less than 5 mins walk. The rooms are spacious for the money you pay. We especially liked the food, quick service when food is ordered, closeness to the temple & price... Downside, is that the Linen quality is not well upto the standard... There is some road work going on but that should finish soon...
