Stay at this place if you plan a weekend from Delhi/NCR. A great palace to unwind, relax and enjoy some history lessons. A zipline located in the property makes it even more interesting to experience some adventure in the hills. It has a lovely pool as well.

Room Tip: Do not miss zipping activity.

On the way Jaipur to Delhi stayed there for a day with friends, room we stayed in Pukhraj was beautiful and very spacious, with a beautiful small terrace and a balcony facing the swimming pool and the old fort, which looked marvellous in the night.there were two swimming pools, one was the silent pool which we liked, as it was not crowded.fort was beautiful.food could be a problem if you are planning to stay there for few days as there is no room service, and they have timings for the buffet, and nothing around the fort.staff have "we don't care kind of attitude",and they are not friendly at all.but overall loved the experience.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your valuable review about the Neemrana Fort-Palace heritage resort near Delhi.
We are delighted to learn that you had a comfortable stay in the Pukhraj Mahal suite.
It is heartening to learn that you thoroughly enjoyed the tranquillity of the Surya Kund swimming pool.

Since the property is tiered over 12 levels with hanging gardens and terraces, it is not as simple to manage as a modern corridor room hotel with guest and service elevators. To ensure quality service by our team, we are therefore obliged to make some systems – especially regarding the meal timings as the area of the Fort-Palace is vast. However, the Hawa Mahal & the Raj Kund swimming pool serve snacks and beverages from 10 am till noon and 3 to 5 pm.

We are disappointed to receive your feedback about the staff attitude. Please be assured that they shall be given the necessary support to ensure that this does not recur in the future. We thank you for your visit and look forward to welcoming you back soon !

Warm Regards,
Team Neemrana

This Holi was our first trip to Neemrana fort palace . Just three hours away from home in Delhi, this was the ideal weekend break, which we do atleast once a month, but somehow never ended up at this property, though we have visited their Ramgarh Bungalows a couple of times. Having rave reviews and heavily recommended by friends, I decided on the festival of colours, Holi to be a good day at Neemrana.
We were a family of two kids, and stayed at the Mata Mahal. Room was spacious and beautiful and the small terrace a bonus! One double and two single beds! Tea kettle/large bathroom/decent airconditioning, overall no problem with the room. The property was full and there was lots of buzz around, infact maybe a bit too much of it!!
Pros: A beautiful and sensitively restored fort/palace with spacious rooms, lots of nooks and corners and terraces provide privacy. Each room is different so if you like, you can get a completely different experience you stay there.
Cons: Lots of steps to climb to reach anywhere so I would imagine this to be a tough place for the old and very young. They have built lots of rooms now, and they seem to be making more, so feel is very commercial, staff, though polite seems over stretched. The small pool had atleast 20 people at any given time. Breakfast/Dinner felt like sitting on a Indian railway platform with so much noise & confusion, that was difficult listening to a person across the table.
All in all, it was a let down. Maybe, expectations were high, or the property is now fatigued, at about 300 Dollars a night, its expensive for the commoner experience it provides.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your valuable feedback about the Neemrana Fort-Palace heritage resort near Delhi.

We are pleased to learn that your family had a comfortable stay at the Mata Mahal Deluxe suite.

With reference to your feedback, please note that there are two outdoor pools at Neemrana. The Raj Kund swimming pool is for children and adults. Guests looking for a quiet swim prefer using the Surya Kund swimming pool, located above the Uncha Bagh, which is only for adults.

As you may be aware, since Holi is an Indian festival that is particularly popular in Rajasthan, it is celebrated with much enthusiasm at Neemrana too. For guests that are looking to unwind away from the hustle and bustle, we would strongly recommend visiting on a regular weekday. You may also explore the idea of visiting the The Pataudi Palace or Hill Fort – Kesroli which are more secluded and quiet.

We thank you for your visit and look forward to welcoming you at our 28 properties across India !

Warm Regards,

As an Indian i have seen enough dirty old broken buildings and furniture to not find any such property exotic or even remotely inviting so maybe that is why i'm a little reserved about recommending it to people from my own country but having said that i want to share my own experience - it was excellent!.

We were seven friends and we went for one weekend to celebrate a friend's birthday, she had booked the presidential suit (deva mehal) for all of us. We read and heard excellent reviews of this property so we were excited about the prospect of going to a historic location and getting the true rajasthan experience but once we came in front of the main gate and tried to park our car, ours hearts collectively sank. it looked and smelled worse than a village and there was no valet parking or even a trained attendant to help us check in. The fort looked broken and shabby. The reception and the climb to get there was no fun either but once we got to our room we were literally shocked. It was a beautiful room with a connecting terrace with terrific ethnic interiors and modern bathrooms and every comfort one could desire.

From then on the place grew on us with every passing minute. We were told there is no room service, there are only buffets in the main restaurant. The food was delicious. There are two swimming pools which are well maintained and we had a good beer or two there while enjoying the spectacular view of the rajasthan countryside. By nightfall the whole fort is lit up and looks like something out of a dream so we asked for a tour of the place. This fort is restored but so delicately that you feel that they have really tried not to loose the history that makes this place such a tourist destination. There is old furniture, carpets, photographs and so much more that it gives you a profound sense of wonder and an appreciation of history.

The place looked like it was full and mostly with foreigners so its better to have a reservation. Also, you should try the camel cart ride to the step well. We also also went on a vintage car ride to the neemrana village. So to sum it up - if u r a foreigner, u will love this place. If u r an Indian - this place is definitely not a Marriott or Taj so if u have an adventurous side, indulge it.

The for is within 3 hours drive from Delhi and an ideal place for a nice break. I really liked the "Hotel" (or the non-hotel as they call it). Its huge and picturesque. I felt that even though the hotel was almost fully booked, you still have the privacy. There are lot of sitting areas, gardens, 2 swimming pools. Staff was really courteous. We stayed in the Panna Mahal which is a set of 2 small rooms separated by a small balcony. There are many activities within the premises like Ziping (Flying Fox), vintage car ride, camel ride etc.
I believe the food could have been a little better considering the prices and the guest list that they have. Breakfast can include south-indian items which may add the "Indian factor". Being a Sweet-Tooth myself, the variety was limited.

Room Tip: This really depends on your requirement. They have all kinds of rooms with various Tarrifs. higher y...

Neemrana makes for a perfect weekend getaway from Delhi/NCR. It is located on a horse shoe shaped hill and the views are wonderful. We stayed in the lower budgeted rooms, it was clean & aesthetic.
The staff is courteous & helpful. The food is nice and we especially loved the dinner.

Want to... be away from the city crowd and atmosphere...neemrana is your place. Its a fort converted to heritage hotel...i liked it that they didn't provide room service for food.. it made the place all the more interesting..
Neemrana is for people who like visiting places that are different from the regular hotels.
Not recommended for people above 70.
Perfect place for writers..i must say..

Room Tip: choose a room with a best view and lots of sunlight if travelling in winters.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Over the last three decades, the ‘Neemrana’ of the stunningly restored 15th century Fort-Palace, has come to mean many things. For architects it is a unique example of utter waste turned into a 14-tiered marvel with palace wings, courts and stepped gardens, felicitated with national and international awards. For guests, it means discovering over five centuries of history experienced with modern comforts. Only 100 kms from Delhi, just off the main highway NH8 to Jaipur, Neemrana Fort-Palace is a favourite site for celebrations, feasts, conferences, a quiet retreat for yoga and relaxation or India’s first site where you can indulge in five thrilling zip-line tracks that literally fly you in the sky. Built since 1464 CE, on a plateau of the two billion year old Aravalli ranges, this 14-tiered property sprawls across 10 green hectares / 25 acres. For guests, this offers 72 rooms / suites, 3 conference halls (Jazam, Qanat & Kasturi), hanging gardens, arched pavilions and balconies. The upper levels of the northern wing of the Fort-Palace can now be accessed from the car park by a 110 feet high lift which leads by the Saat Bagh to a second box lift. This architectural wonder can now also be enjoyed by the elderly and the less-abled who can be shown the upper parts carried on a palanquin chair by four able men ! Neemrana Fort-Palace has two spectacular pools that lean out to the sun. The upper pool is heated in the winter months to take the enjoyment of sunsets to another level. An intimate play area for young toddlers & the adjacent Neemrana eco-farm have been added recently so that you consume healthy organic food. Try our Maha Burj gold-platter thali for Rajasthani cuisine, or the buffet with a variety of cuisines that suits many palates. Wander the 2.4 hectares/6 acres of Palace with a self-guided multimedia tour. Ride a camel/camel cart or a vintage car. Walk out to the 16th century step well which descends 7 floors into the earth. Feel a new Indian high. To have you here is to share our life’s vision of how ruins can revitalise a whole region. Neemrana not only strive to revive and restore the heritage structure but it also generates jobs and economic opportunities hiring and consuming locally.
