“Good Hotel But Shabby Service”
Reviewed November 8, 2012

We stayed for a night, we were a group of 4 couples. But we didnt enjoy much. Buffet dinner was compulsory which was overly priced. Rooms were just ok.
We took the big suite. Which was good. But not as great as other options we had.
The best part of the hotel is, it is mid way between Delhi and Jaipur. so half distance,if you want to plan a weekend getaway.

This fort is really nice with great location, nice views and great to explore the fort and enjoy the heritage.
Food is overall great here. Well spread buffet with exceptional taste of food and variety.
Rooms are of different kinds and size. So you will have to choose according to you need but they are nice. As the actual fort rooms have been restored and changed to hotel rooms to stay. But its a great job done and nice place to stay and live.
Service is up to mark. Pool and spa is great.
Recommend this as a perfect gateway from delhi and great peaceful place and food.

Room Tip: Rooms are of different kind and size so choose according to need.

We stayed for 3 nights in Neemrana, after being flooded out the first night, we were relocated and upgraded to another room that did not require so many steps.
the bathroom was unique being 10 steps down, not for the infirm or inebriated, hoever a good talking point.
The food was delicious and much variety, breaky was also very good.
the Fort itself was beautifully maintained and most certainly wirth a visit, don't bother going into town, stay at the fort and relax as we did.
Morning and afternoon tea were complimentary are beautiful.
thanks for a great stay.

Room Tip: ASk for one down lower if you are infirm or elderly. Ask also for a large room as some are very sma...

we went to neemrana for the flying fox but the sheer beauty of neemrana just blew me away...
I don't care about the negative reviews but being an extensive and enthusiastic traveler, i have not come across a more eye catching and well maintained property. obviously, to maintain such sprawling property a huge investment is necessary and hence, the steep prices.
one gallery leads to the next.. one beautiful visual leads to another treat for the eyes and it just doesn't seem to end right from the hanging gardens to the amphitheatre.
Would love to come back for a stay and spend more time exploring this fort. fantastic work guys !!! all the very best :)

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your kind feedback about the Neemrana Fort-Palace heritage hotel near Delhi.

Your feedback about the property is heartening for the entire Neemrana family that strives hard to put new life into a ruined and unused building. We have conveyed your compliments to the Co-Chairmen as well as the restoration and operations team.

Ideally, Neemrana is best enjoyed in an overnight stay, since the sunset, the night illuminations and the moon-star nights on your terrace or balcony, can't be enjoyed in a quick day tour.

We thank you for your visit and look forward to welcoming you back for an overnight stay.

Warm Regards,

Neemrana is a beautiful property which takes one to the time long gone by. It is well maintained and the service and food is good. When one enters the royal gates there is a plaque describing the tranquil enviorment. However our experienced just opposite. Our room called Adi Mahal on the 6th level was beautiful but one could hear even if someone was whispering loudly outside and to our misfortune there was a large group from france staying in the room across-Deva Mahal. They were partying till 2 am and we could not get any sleep at all. In fact one of them tried to get in our room. Even after requesting to keep it down them they did not stop. The call to the front desk went unanswered. Also the bathroom windows had no blinds/ curtains and were tranlucent. When I went in I could clearly see people walking by thus compromising our privacy. Lastly the area under the bed was very dusty and my husband who is allergic to dust coughed the whole night.

Room Tip: Try to get a room that is not close to another one.

Gala dinner in open garden was so an excellent experience. However the taste of the food could be improved . Evening perfomance by Jyotsana group has increased the charm of an evening.Keep up the good work!

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Over the last three decades, the ‘Neemrana’ of the stunningly restored 15th century Fort-Palace, has come to mean many things. For architects it is a unique example of utter waste turned into a 14-tiered marvel with palace wings, courts and stepped gardens, felicitated with national and international awards. For guests, it means discovering over five centuries of history experienced with modern comforts. Only 100 kms from Delhi, just off the main highway NH8 to Jaipur, Neemrana Fort-Palace is a favourite site for celebrations, feasts, conferences, a quiet retreat for yoga and relaxation or India’s first site where you can indulge in five thrilling zip-line tracks that literally fly you in the sky. Built since 1464 CE, on a plateau of the two billion year old Aravalli ranges, this 14-tiered property sprawls across 10 green hectares / 25 acres. For guests, this offers 72 rooms / suites, 3 conference halls (Jazam, Qanat & Kasturi), hanging gardens, arched pavilions and balconies. The upper levels of the northern wing of the Fort-Palace can now be accessed from the car park by a 110 feet high lift which leads by the Saat Bagh to a second box lift. This architectural wonder can now also be enjoyed by the elderly and the less-abled who can be shown the upper parts carried on a palanquin chair by four able men ! Neemrana Fort-Palace has two spectacular pools that lean out to the sun. The upper pool is heated in the winter months to take the enjoyment of sunsets to another level. An intimate play area for young toddlers & the adjacent Neemrana eco-farm have been added recently so that you consume healthy organic food. Try our Maha Burj gold-platter thali for Rajasthani cuisine, or the buffet with a variety of cuisines that suits many palates. Wander the 2.4 hectares/6 acres of Palace with a self-guided multimedia tour. Ride a camel/camel cart or a vintage car. Walk out to the 16th century step well which descends 7 floors into the earth. Feel a new Indian high. To have you here is to share our life’s vision of how ruins can revitalise a whole region. Neemrana not only strive to revive and restore the heritage structure but it also generates jobs and economic opportunities hiring and consuming locally.
