We went to fort for birthday celebration of my husband, fort is beautiful and I liked the stay it was comfortable, I asked for candlelight which was tried to make it at best, but I was disappointed as wat we ate in the afternoon thali was served at our candlelight no 5coursemeal etc so don't expect I paid 5000 rs. But we went to have good time that's why it didn't bothered us but the dinner was not worth 5K ,I won't suggest anyone for that. But stay was peaceful we were in Chitrakoot room and it was good experience ,no need of upgrading your room as all rooms are so huge that they are sweet only, above all we had good time,do visit.

It is a great property with a rustic feel of staying in a fort. The rooms are typical of an ancient feel and is done up very well. The staff is very courteous and ensured the stay is made comfortable. Amazing place to relax and experience heritage of Rajasthan. From Delhi/Gurgaon it would be a good option to drive down, Alwar city is about 30min drive from the Fort.

The photographs at the reception show that the fort was in ruins, which has been restored and converted into a resort.Well, that means some limitations on the structure and layout - but they have done well to give a nice experience overall. Rooms are small (at lest ours was), not in traditional layout and the unconventional layout can surprise you. But okay overall.
Food (all vegetarian) was good and was served well, too - in a nice ambience. The wilderness around the fort is enjoyable. It is a secluded place, some 15 kms from Alwar. The last stretch is rough and one could miss the turns easily. We did twice.
Overall, its good for a quiet getaway and relaxing amidst good hospitality.

Room tip: Rooms at higher levels, although difficult to navigate, have better views.

It's one of the best heritage look and feel property in Rajasthan located in hill terrain from where you can have a wide view of valley . Very well maintained resort with very good quality homely food. Nature around this place is mesmerizing. What more can you ask for.... Simply excellent
