This is a wonderful getaway option from Gurgaon. The property is about 3 hours drive and in the middle of a village. You get beautiful views of the terrain and village harvests. The last few km of approach is broken and rural, otherwise most of the ride is pretty good. There are several size and budget rooms, each with its own charm. Food is simple and tasty. Main drawback is that it is completely vegetarian! One can indulge in sports like TT and badminton and also watch TV and use library. Service is a little slow but everyone is there to look after needs. Food is served in setting overlooking hillock. Go and enjoy the quiet and peace

Room Tip: Choose from the larger rooms and if you are a large family go for the suite

So if are looking for a place to relax and for a day or two.. this is the place to go.
The rooms are nice and comfy, with all amenities and services. The perfect scenery with all the modern facilities. the staff is warm and friendly and efficient.
The food is vegetarian, but the venue and place is beautiful, they have the traditional cultural programs, bonfire for entertainment in the evenings and you can explore and trek in the daytime.

What is best about the place is that its not very expensive, yet it has the picturesque setting with the right about of royalty blended in the rural tranquility and simplicity.

All what it needs is a swimming pool!

Though we had some trouble on the drive to Dadhikar from Delhi, the beautiful fort really made up for it. Very nicely done up... in the middle of nowhere. All the meals were superb. Plus point was that it was all vegeterian, so there were many options to choose from. The service was also great, very personalized - They made churma at our request. The room we had (Mahavan) was pretty and spacious. We loved the private terrace. The best part of the stay was the fresh air, the view of the milky way at night and peacocks.

Second visit to the Dadhikar fort since September 2012 and we were too happy to find out that this place became even more beautiful than the last time. Private dinners and lunches in the tents on the terrace with only mountains all around with a cool breeze touching your face is something that you don't get to experience everyday and everywhere.

Great weather it was in the 1st week of December, cool weather in the day time and nicely cold at night. You will be provided with traditional angeethees alongside your table if they will be serving you dinner on terrace. And, the chef was the same person we met the first time and so the food was extremely delicious that we always had to over-eat and so we gained a little but that's okay if the food is that amazing :D

Way from Delhi to Dadhikar fort is straight and simple and the last 5 kms are the most amazing ride to be experienced. It will have you driving right and left and right and left with only mountains visible evrywhere and if its night-time its both scary and exciting. And, then you will be delighted to have sighted Dadhikar fort at night its too pleasant to see.

Lastly, the staff is very very very good. Purushottam ji was very attentive towards the need of the guests and was very helpful, and the other staff members were very nice to talk to and yes very helpful. And, the owner Mr. Kaushik ji is such a nice person, you really don't come across such a grounded, well-behaved and concerned person everyday.

Overall, you really must visit Dadhikar fort or else you'll be missing an experience of a lifetime that you can get no where on this earth. I'm already planning my 3rd visit :D

Room Tip: Kadlivan offers great privacy due to its location at upstairs in seclusion and also its jharokha is...

First things first - what did i like about Dadhikar? the location, the kucha pucca road leading to the fort from the city. the lovely first view of the fort as it rises out from nowhere.
i do rue the fact that I stayed for one night only. take the rooms with Jharokhas, the jharokas look out on the hill side. The ones near the reception to be avoided.

the fort has 4 levels ; which is good; dining under the stars is romantic however on a freezing winter night, its definitely not what I bargained for. The dinner could have been arranged inside; i liked the snacks they served with the evening programme - unlimited peanut chat and pakoras .they have plenty of place and I am sure they are going to construct more and more rooms soon. However would like it to stand out from Neemrana properties. Only Veg food and just one dessert; come on guys increase the spread.

Room Tip: the ones away from reception; please dont take a tent.too close to all public spaces.

Dadhikar fort a quiet and serene fort destination in a lesser crowded city of Alwar in Rajasthan is definitely a paradise in disguise.

You might land here in search of grandeur but the fort structure standing tall on a mountain takes you breathe away. A definite near weekend destination for people in Delhi and nearby areas but the website details were enchanting enough to make us come all the way from ahmedabad.

The rooms bear an old charm with hospitality of the rajputan era. The food is primarily vegetarian with limited dishes on the platter but satiating your taste buds to the full. The tariff is reasonable and the fort gives you a paradigm shift from your busy life.

Hats off to Mr. Kaushik for thinking of such a novel concept and bringing it to life with full vigor. You seldom find an owner personally looking at every minute detail pertaining to the guests. Looking forward to another trip especially during the rainy season to see the peacocks dancing. Here is my rating below over a 10 point scale.

1) Hospitality: 10
2) Room: 9
3) Food: 10
4) Cleanliness:9

We stayed for three day with entire family.Found excellent hospitality with Rajasthani parampara ( guests are our God) our special thanks to all members of Dadikar family for taking care.Every room has its own beauty and gives different filling as they gave the name to rooms. Very much connected from Jaipur and Delhi one can just drive to fort in 2Hrs from both the places.Once again thanks to Shri Kaushikji to make us so comfortable.

Room Tip: Any room you get pls take on first come first basis.
