I stayed in this hotel in the month of dec 2012. The hotel is good and the rooms are nice. For the first night we were given the heritage suite. The room is quite large but not at all maintained. The wooden flooring has holes in it and the bathroom tap was ready to fall any minute.
We asked the manager to change room but werent able to get a room as the hotel was booked to capacity. Next day after several followups we were given a different room. The new suit was superb with all the facilities and a big terrace. Staying in his suite was a complete different experience compare to the heritage suite.
Would definitely recommend this hotel for staying in Mt.Abu except for the heritage suite.

The Palace Hotel transports you to the world of Wodehouse, in a way, because you feel you are in Blandings castle in the English countryside, and that the amiably absent minded Earl of Emsworth will pop in to make an appearance any moment. The hotel has extensive grounds, well kept, and a wonderful unspoilt mountain view, It is also peaceful and quiet. Its a pleasure to spend the afternoon lazing on one of the benches. As many others have said, this is definitely a royal experience, since each room is full of character and keeps you enthralled. I thought the buffet meals were quite basic for a place as royal as this. The service and approach of the staff was courteous enough but one did get a sneaking feeling that somewhere something was lacking. It was as if they wanted to say, hey, we're glad you are here, but even if you weren't, we are still good !

The distance to the city/Nakki lake should not matter to those staying here as a car ride to or fro is just Rs 100. And if you have chosen to stay at this luxurious option, my suggestion would be to give the plebian local sightseeing spots a miss, other than the Delwara temples which are probably among the most significant historical sites in the country. The time saved should ideally be spent soaking in the atmosphere in this hotel and enjoying the expanses of the grounds and open areas. If you plan to spend the whole day traipsing around all over Mount Abu, save your money and stay in a smaller hotel in the city area.

Room Tip: Try for a room in the older sections, rather than the new wing on the side.

We had a very pleasant 2-day stay in Mt. Abu while visiting the Jain Dilwara Temples. This hotel should also be considered part of the Mount Abu experience. The building is beautiful (used to be a summer residence for the Maharaja) and the grounds are impeccable. The staff is very friendly and our suite was huuuuuuge! The bathroom too was spectacular. This is a heritage hotel so, while our room did have a flat screen TV, it didn't have the amenities of a "western" chain hotel and that's just fine. After visiting the temples, just sit back in the garden, order some masala tea and enjoy your time there. The restaurant too was very good.

I stayed at this property for one night on 26th October with family. This is a real heritage property. The suit was having a dressing room and a separate sitting place with a terrace also. We enjoyed the food in the open garden. The service, facilities and ambience were excellent.

The place is very spacious with an old world charm. The rooms are HUGE and tastefully decorated. The rooms are 5 star hotel quality. However, the food and the bar are slightly disappointing as food and cocktail choices are very limited.

Room Tip: if you want to experience a truly royal room, then request for a room in the old wing. The rooms the...

Emailed the hotel & got confirmation of Rs. 13600/- from manager. When went to hotel, they said price was Rs. 18000/-. The manager went for his lunch & didn't even bother to speak on the issue. Nvr saw such cheating & pathetic response from such hotel whom ppl have given good rating......Cheating by such good hotel is not heard of.... would never recommend it to anyone.
