Great breakfast menu.
Friendly waitresses and good service.
Good value for money and plenty of food.
Much better than the Costa next door.

This is an independent pizza/pasta restaurant and bar. The food is great-I have a son of 10 who enjoys it very much. haven't tried the bar but it sounds great on a Friday night!

It is a cute little cafe, we ordered pizza for lunch and it was ok, have had better at a chain restaurant. Would recommend if you want a coffee and cake!

I have been going to Mackenzies since about 1998 but it has been in a slow decline for a number of years now. We (family of 4) visited on Christmas Eve for lunch. The restaurant's main thrust is pizza, pasta, etc but we were stunned to discover that they had run out of pizza bases and they were therefore only about to offer pizza topping on ciabatta bread. It is obvious therefore that they don't make their own pizza dough!

The service was abysmally slow even though the restaurant was by no means full. I got the impression that the staff really just wished we would go away.

The starters were delivered without the bowl of olives we had ordered. When, after prompting, they did arrive, we wished they hadn't bothered. I am convinced that the 'chef' just popped down the road and bought a jar of Tesco Value olives. Small, mushy, tasteless.

Another restaurant that has not been able to maintain it's standards. There are many alternatives in West Malling and Mackenzies needs a shake up if it is going to compete with them. We certainly will not be rushing back.

Everything was average, but there was something quite charming about it that makes us want to go back, perhaps it's position on the high street, being able to watch the world go by with a cuppa and a piece of cake...
