The room was beautifully furnished, very spacios ; we loved the balcony and the view in front facing Vlora bay and the sea and on the other side the mountain. Our toddler loved the garden with mandarines and .
Breakfast was good, loved the expresso served during morning instead of filter coffee. Srrvice during lunch and dinner was good and polite, but slow- maybe because our visit there was off-season.
Will come back for sure.Highly recommended.

While they're clearly trying at this hotel, the reality falls slightly short of the image they're projecting and indeed the promises they make. None of the shortcomings is a deal-breaker, but for example in our room there was no safe (there clearly had been at some point, but not anymore) and the advertised minibar was empty, with only a couple of snacks in a small basket to choose from and no drinks at all. English is in equally short supply in both the hotel itself and its attached bar and restaurant, although to be fair is a lot more advanced than our non-existent Albanian, and I imagine that if I'd tried Italian things may have been different.

On the plus side, our King room was nicely designed and decorated - when booking I asked specifically for the one with the blue/green colour scheme because it looked so nice in the pics, and they were happy to reserve it for us - and certainly spacious, with a large sea-view balcony we made good use of. The ensuite was also well-appointed, but the extractor fan came on automatically whenever you turned the light on, couldn't be switched off separately and made a racket.

Breakfast was served in the main building, which I missed due to an upset stomach. However, by husband went and ate there, said everything was decidedly mediocre and that the place was overrun with Italians pushing and shoving and, needless to say, talking over the top of one another.

On the subject of food, we stayed here on a Saturday night and were surprised to find that the terrace restaurant overlooking the sea closed at 6.00 pm. Moreover, while the attached bar was still open, it didn't offer even the simplest cocktails. Given how much had been invested in the venue itself, this all seemed rather odd, especially for a weekend. (As it turned out, it opened again a couple of hours later, but we weren't told this and there was no signage or information to this effect.)

There is clearly some disorganisation at Reception, since when we went to check out we were asked to pay again, having done so the day before on arrival. However, after a phone call and some checking it turned out the administrator on duty when we'd arrived just hadn't marked us as having paid in the system. (You'd think this would happen automatically upon paying.) He then turned up, and presumably in any effort to make up for the confusion, offered to drive us into Vlora to the bus stop for Tirana rather than catch a taxi there. So that was decent of him.

Private parking space for your own vehicle. Staff is very helpful. Spacious, well-equiped room, with a minor downside: the curtain does not match the window and thus does not darken the room. Breakfast was OK, but do not go before 8AM. However, the restaurant is a real (expensive) treat. Very fresh fish, excellent staff but surely overpriced
