I've been to Vlore on international folk festival in May, i traveld in a group and was participating in festival.
If you like balkan with a mixture of Italian and spanish coast than it's the place for you.
You can see beautifull beaches on the one side and big unfinished hotel buildings on the other.
The food is good, mostly italian food is served with lots of vegetables.
If you decide to go out in the evening there are a lots of beach clubs.
Hotel "New York" where I stayed in is 3 star hotel, it has an opend swimming pool wich is not cleaned daily, but ok. there is a beach near by, few meters from hotel, wich is clean and verry nice. Hotel stuff doesn't speak english, or bearley speaks. Rooms are ok, but prefer the ones with a see view.
All in all it is verry interesting and would recomend to visit to any openminded person willing to explore.
- Official Description (provided by the hotel):

Its location in the most beautiful part of Vlora bay known as The Cold Water, at the foot of Mount Shuschica makes it a real miracle. The Hotel's bridge passes over the national road Vlore-Saranda and gives the impression of a ferry docked there forever. ... more less
